0 stars came her 1-2-25 my mom was here all day left to get food and they didn't wanna let me back in. I literally heard my mom's nurse to tell me to come through emergency! The lady at the front desk that worked that night 1-2-25 at around 10:30pm with the gap is the rudest person and that it was funny when I still got to go see my mom I can't believe yall have people like that working here!

The ER deserves kudos! I unfortunately had 2 visits last year and I observed professionalism, caring and dedication! The entire staff- minus one person - is extraordinary! I also had wonderful nurses on the Cardiac floor! But it was here I encountered a very rude, unprofessional doctor! I would give him a rating of F!!! One of the hospitalists! Everyone else was great!

Wait there's more...not my story to tell, but when I say, stay away from that place, I mean it. They might be good for some type of care, but definitely not equipped for other. Is zero stars an option????

Mar 24, 2023Previous reviewTrust me...if I could give less than one star...I would.
A 73 year on blood thinners, came in January 23rd complaining of dizziness. He and his wife stayed in the ER for hours only to have "tests" ran and sent home. You'd think...blood thinners...this person is prone to having a stroke...they would do some neurology tests to check the brain...but they did not. My Dad suffered a stroke this week, after having dizziness on and off.
How did I know about testing. Well, I learned about that testing by watching an educational video at the Central Dallas Methodist location with my Dad as I sat in his ICU room.
I had to yell at an attending ER doctor November 2001 to do an X-ray for me. "It's just allergies." It wasn't...a mass was found on my thyroid. The doctor apologized profusely, "yeah whatever".
Consider this review a warning. Do not let your loved ones go to the Wheatland location. I wonder how much money they saved by not running proper, adequate tests for patients to have that "lovely" new ER section built.
Totally disgusting. - Marrisa A.Arlington, TX025Nov 4, 2024
WARNING! Please don't bring your loved one here or anyone for that matter. My brother was admitted through emergency recently. He left with a swollen arm due to negligence. Days later he had to go to another hospital to get treated for what turned out to be an infection and an abscess. The doctor that released him from Charlton told him that it's normal tissue damage!!! Even the nurses and the so called social worker were in on it! Unbelievable! Not to mention they treated him like a criminal by tying him to the bed and threatened to put him in a mental facility! He was confused, suffered from seizure and stroke and just wanted to go home. They kept him high on drugs that cased him to have eradicate behavior the entire time! It's pretty obvious all they want to do is get paid for admitting patients to mental facilities where they won't get treated for their actual illness when certain staff mention how habitual these inhumane acts are carried out daily! Thank god I got him out! Worst experience ever!!!

Brought our mother in to the emergency department for chest pain. We sat for over 10 hours. Only saw the ED Dr once, he had horrible bedside manner. Walked in with scrubs on and no identification, failed to introduce himself, we only knew it was the Dr because 8 hours later when we complained they told us he had been in and who he was. They ran test after test, did lab work, ekg, and none of the results were communicated. The day nurse Kevin came to check on her twice, kept repeating they had results, but we were waiting on the Dr. The night nurse Erica walked in to take her blood pressure and we never saw her again unless I went out to the nurses station to speak with her. She told my sister who is a nurse calling from out of state that my mom was being admitted before we knew she was being admitted. She told her that she would go in and explain what was going on but never did. Erica also lied about contacting the specialist who was supposed to come speak with my mother, and pretty much avoided us the whole time even though I kept going out to get answers. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. This is most likely a Medicare scam because I'm sure they will charge for more than necessary and the Dr. will bill all his minutes when he was only in to see her for 1 minute. Horrible ER, avoid at all costs.

I went in this morning by ambulance the dr was named Christopher Phillips. I am a paraplegic who just left hospice I have chronic bone infection and mrsa with a stage 4 wound. I came in because I flushed my bladder with a vinegar solution that was recommended by another urologist years ago. My gf's last roommate added bleach in the bottle without my knowledge so I flushed my bladder with bleach. Bleach and ammonia makes mustard gas.. I was bleeding profusely and already emptied 2,000 ml unit the catheter bag. He only checked for sepsis and assumed I had a bladder infection because I flushed it.
Sent me home.
Never looked at my wound to see if sepsis had set up I was extremely dizzy l, having twitches in my upper arms and spasms. I kept passing out and falling asleep. I had 101 temp and was given cold fluids which brought my temp down to 99. He said I was better but no shit cold fluids would bring down my temp.
I went to a better hospital and currently admitted. Bladder was hemorrhaging with severe chemical burn. With necrotic tissue and I'm waiting for a blood transfusion and to see if the bladder to see if I need a radical cystectomy (removal of entire bladder and prostate). And results of a culture of the wound which had foul smell and green slime. I mentioned these several times.

I'd give a zero if I were able. This place is worse than walking into a 24/7 clinic. Expect to be called back several times without ever getting to an Emergency Room. What happened to those days when you were called into a room to see a doctor? The doctor here comes out to you to basically say nothing is wrong with you but if you wanted you could wait for a room just don't ask him for a time frame because he's great at playing with his words. The doctor was Carlos Enrique Velasco who also deserves 1 star.
Expect to give a urine sample and the only place to go pee is in the ER lobby. The bathroom was filthy and smelled like a homeless encampment. After you pee in a cup you'll take the cup and place it in a red bin with a dozen or more other urine cup samples. Seems like a HIPPA violation as I was able to read every person's name and other personal information.
And this keeps getting better! I just went to CVS to pick up my prescription that Dr Carlos Velasco gave me. CVS could not find a prescription under my name. CVS reviewed their camera and did find that I dropped off a prescription. The pharmacist found the prescription but the prescription was written for a different person. Once again another HIPPA violation. I'd post a pic of the prescription here but don't want to be just like Dr Velasco.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
