Had a wonderful experience at Monte Carlo!
The staff were helpful and patient. The atmosphere was comfortable yet lively. Everyone enjoyed the food and cocktails!
French 75 and Blood Orange Martini were tasty. LOVED the filet. The coleslaw was so good. And as always, the chicken wings are highly recommended!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 64755Nov 17, 2024
Had this spot after a long day on set and it was a smooth vibe. We rode scooters from our hotel over and it was a cool experience to view Minneapolis while on our way here.
The service was really nice, even noticed how tired we were because we weren't speaking much, but told us that we were a nice and easy table for the night.
The food wasn't amazing, but definitely got the job done. It was bar food, so there's not much to be expected, hence the 3 star review.
Probably won't ever be back, but if you go, get the wings!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Johnnie B.Greater Hobby Area, Houston, TX02822Jan 16, 2025
The atmosphere is nice and the food was good. A good place to have conversations over food and relax. The service was great and I enjoyed the simplicity of everything.

A good place to celebrate a special event or even have a business meeting. Food is great, service is impeccable, and the decor mixes modern at the bar and traditional at the dining area. It's certainly worth a try if not for the food at least the cocktails! Selection of desserts is limited but tasty! Save room and have a nice dessert wine at the end!

Visited the Monte Carlo for a work dinner! Loved the vintage vibes. Felt like an old hotel restaurant. Great bar area, loads of seating but felt cozy. I had the sirloin and the flavor was perfect. We also shared a sampler of appetizer and the wings and green beans were my favorite. Crispy, seasoned coating on the wings and a delightful caramelized onion sauce on the green beans. I had the blood orange martini, which did not disappoint. Staff were super friendly and attentive and desert was literally and figuratively icing on the cake with the multi-layered chocolate cake served with a side of ice cream. The outdoor space looked super cute as well and the area surrounding the restaurant looked fun and plenty of little shops and places to be discovered right amidst the downtown center of Minneapolis.

Been here several times, always a great experience. Have sat at the bar and in the summer, love the outside area. Delicious cocktails and easily some of the best wings in the city.

Enjoyed a beautiful MN spring day on their patio- shared the appetizer sampler and some cocktails
Be warned their drinks are boozy but good - food is just average for me- been here a few times and nothing really stands out- they are know for their chicken wings but I'm not a fan of their dry rub
Service was slow and not very engaging- have also eaten inside before and I love their bar area

Went here recently for a snack and drink post graduation ceremony. The patio seating is lovely! The chairs are only like a 4/10 on the comfort scale, but the chill outdoors vibe is nice enough to overlook that.
Everything we ordered was super flavorful and well cooked. The green beans were quite spicy, so if that's not your thing, avoid them. Our server wasn't very chatty, and things came out a little slow, which was fine for a lazy Friday snack, but if you're under a time crunch, keep that in mind.
The cocktails are definitely the star of the show. I had the Blood Orange Martini. It was well balanced between citrus and sour, I highly recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Bob F.Edina, MN03015Jan 9, 2025
An appealing menu and attentive service. They do a particularly good job with the walleye entrée.

Monte Carlo is a cozy space with character - we went on a Saturday around 6PM and it was already packed, we sat outside on the patio.
It was a bit chilly, did wish there were heaters of some sort but since I'm visiting from out of town it may just be that the patio isn't always open.
I got the Maui Guac which had ahi tuna and avocado, it was very fresh and the tortilla chips were very nice, would definitely order again!
The service was a bit slow without many checks from staff for people out on the patio, the restaurant did feel pretty chaotic. Noticed a few different tables, including ours, needing to flag down different staff to get our check.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
