Quaint little station full of shops, pop-ups (including holiday pop-ups), live music (played overhead on speakers), and snacks.

They have accessible elevators and ticket machines, though I think it's easier to purchase tickets through the MTA Train Time app.

They have plenty of benches/seating. It's well lit.

The buildings close at 9 PM, but trains come into the station until just before 2:30 AM and leave for grand central until just before 1:15 AM.

Its a station. What more can be said? LOL. Just be early for your trainand have your ticket ready to make things easier. There are sockets so you can charge your devices if needed.

Asked for help finding my train. The employee told me the wrong direction and I missed my train. I asked to get on the next train and they wanted $126. I told them I was given the wrong directions and suddenly it's "no comprende". I'm stranded at the station and nobody will help me!! This is unbelievable.

Snapped the attached pic while hammering through the last stop before Grand Central on the Acela. Popped for first class, and while it's not as nice north of NY as it is between there and DC... it's still pretty good. More space, food and drink, pleasant atmosphere... except for a seatmate committed to real-time business gossip via mobile phone, in retail apparel evidently. "From New York" as the saying goes. No matter , nothing my headphones and a cheap buttery Chardonnay cannot put right. At some point I will take this rail trip for leisure rather than business.

So you're moving at the same pace as a regular train. Big deal. Enjoy the trip. I sure did

i took the metro north to grand central terminal from the new rochelle station and the station looks the same since my last visit which was almost 20 years ago , only difference is alot less folks waiting for the train , self service ticket machines and the waiting area does not smell like urine. the station building has that old town look and i notice the parking lot has been expanded since my last visit. trains run every 20 minutes during peak time and the trip took less then 40 mintues for less then 12 bucks and the bright display board with arrives and departure times is fairly accurate . runs via the new haven line and shares tracks with amtrak if anyone cares .

The ticketing office at this station is behind time and the worst.

Customer service sucks, they dont help you with any information if you dont know..
The worst experience. Everything else is ok, but what is the use having a ticketing office if they make no sense

I was in a rush coming through this station the other day and ended up just buying the ticket on board. It was a Zone 312- cost $4.50 after 10PM at night. The station itself is not that bad in New Rochelle.

As you exit the train you are funnelled up the crowded steps (or pee smell elevator) Then when you leave station from either side of the platforms, you'll find cabbies abound and hustling for a fare. This is a plus if you are in a real hurry, but otherwise annoying.

Perks are that there is a bus station here, a hertz rental car, a parking garage and the Iona college shuttle.

The station is a little run down inside, the bathroom is almost always out of order, and you probably wouldn't want to use it anyway if it was in order. The yellow lighting adds to the depressing mood here.

There is an overpriced little mini Mart convenience store inside where the same Indian guy is ALWAYS working. If you have a long wait and must get something I'd stick to prepackaged goods here.. But apparently they sell pizza and other "fresh" goods.. Ick. I wouldn't go for it if it were free!

There are candy and soda vending machines outside. . You'll probably find a better price there.

The passage that connect the tracks wreaks of urine too.

Don't come to this station hungry or needing to use the restroom.

If you are heading to Manhattan on a Thurs, Fri, Sat night expect to be surrounded by gangs of drunken teenagers.

Paying to park on the weekend is infuriating.

Most train stations in Westchester and Fairfield County offer free parking on weekends but not new ro and they ticket at this station if the meter is a millisecond over.

To get a pass to park durning the week takes years you stand a better chance of getting season sox tickets.

Trains come every 20min it's a fast ride to NYC and the buses are always on time.

Save yourself aggravation take a cab or get dropped off otherwise I suggest another station.

      I can't believe I'm reviewing a RR station...

Ummm it's small and local....there is a little cafe inside....
You can take the train to Wash DC or Boston from here as well as all the local Westchester stops

The elevators and walkway need repair and less of a pee smell would be nice
