Q:
What time is the best time to go with not a long wait?
A:
I wake early, so eat lunch around 10:30-11. Seems to be not as busy as closer to noon. Lunch, however, begins @ 11 for their menu.. If not able then, I try around 2-3, which is also a slower time.. As… more

What type of oil is on the griddles? Safe for peanut allergies?
A:
They provide fresh butter for the griddle and a cooking spray. We used the spray but didn't see what it had in it since we don't have allergies.

After reading the review that stated on, Tuesday, June 13th the restaurant didn't have a lot of the items listed on the menu, we were somewhat hesitant to try it out, on Wednesday, June 14th. We're gratefully we did anyway, because everything was deliciously perfect! Knowing the park opened at 8 am and not wanting to wait, we got to the park entrance at 7:45 am. We did have to wait to enter the gates of the park, but we were the first to enter the restaurant. Within 10ish minutes of us being in the restaurant they went a wait, so the earlier the better. Just. ***Heads up, there is absolutely no AC in the building. With all of the griddles, lots of people and Florida heat it does get warm FAST!***
Overall we definitely enjoyed our experience and would come again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Candace K.Sorrento, FL21395Jun 10, 2024
It was an experience that I'm glad we did (got it out of the way) but we will not come back. The food is less than mediocre and overpriced for what it is. The restaurant is VERY HOT and the restrooms were out of service but there was another one in walking distance in the park. Service was just ok, we had to find our server to ask for things and they would still forget to bring them. I wasn't impressed but I had hope that my children were but they later gently let me know they also didn't want to return.

This is the worst food I've genuinely had my entire life the French fries literally weren't even cooked they were half raw and the almost 10 dollar grilled cheese was a single slice of American cheese on bread and microwaved for a few seconds my autistic 10 year old brother can atleast fully cook his fries or knows how to add cheese to a grilled cheese this is the last place you wanna go to for edible food

Very cute restaurant which is known for cook your own pancakes. We arrived around 815 on a weekday and there was no line to get in at all. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was fun to make our pancakes and the batter is all you can eat. After eating you can swim in the beautiful springs right outside the door. Lots of fun!

I'll pass on breakfast here next time. First you have to pay to get into the state park and then cook your own breakfast at your table with an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. The pancakes are nothing to write home about or the French toast. The grounds are nice and the service that's it! BTW, Any sides a La carte and pancakes 8.99 all you can eat.

Thank you for visiting our beautiful historic restaurant. Im very sorry to hear that you were surprised by the “Cook Your Own Pancakes” tradition. We do take pride in the fact that people travel from all over the world to experience it and families bring their children here for generations. It is a really cool thing to see.
But for our customers like yourself, that wasn’t aware of it, I can see why you would not be happy. I have added many breakfast and lunch items to the menu for people that do not want to cook their own food.
I am glad to know that the service was good and you enjoyed the beautiful springs! Have a great summer! - Gaby A.East Orlando, FL, FL085Jun 19, 2024
Don't know why this place has so many horrible reviews! It was my first time with a friend today and although they were VERY busy for a Wednesday, the food and service were still fantastic. Our server Kenzie had been there since 6am and still was extremely kind and respectful to us.... and the pancakes were DELISH!!! 10/10 would come back :)

This used to be one of my favorite places for breakfast. A bit out of the way so it was nice for a special occasion or a splurge. Note I said "used to be".
We went today and if this was the first time I went, I wouldn't go back. The buttermilk batter was flat. The pancakes so dense and chewy I had a hard time choking them down. The ham side was served cold. They brought my wife's gluten free batter out one pancake at a time. Given how busy they were and short staffed, this essentially made all you can eat two small pancakes. The wait staff had no idea what items on the menu are gluten free and made it obvious they didn't have time or a desire to go find out.
Gone also are the multiple types of syrup they used to put on the table. You get an anonymous syrup, no maple syrup, no honey. When we asked if they still had honey, they brought out little individual plastic packets of Heinz honey. Not very sustainable for a state park.
I've heard others say that a new franchisee had taken over the restaurant and that my friends were disinclined to go there anymore. I am sad to say I have to agree with them.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I’m very sad to hear that you didn’t have an enjoyable visit with us today. We actually give batter little by little to keep from wasting so much. We keep our price at only $8.99 for “All You Can Eat” by doing this. But that does not mean we do not give you as much as you request. I’m very sorry if your server made you feel as if they did not want to give you anymore. If you can, please message me so that I can get a little bit more information and I would love to try to make this right. You also could email me at: melanie.bixby@guestservices.com. Thank you for dining with us today and
I hope you have a wonderful summer! - Sep 22, 2023
