Came here as a group for some laser tagging action.
Not sure what the regular rates are, but after 6pm, you can get 3 games for $14.25, or $4.75 a game. Sweet!
The place was run by 3-4 teenagers. They looked a bit young, but did a great job handling the groups. You pay, then get a disposable swipe card, which lets you start up an account and punch in your username.
In the lobby are also some video games from the late 90s.
The equipment was actually in quite good condition. The setup was quite nice. The vests light up in your respective team colour, eliminating most friendly fire. There is a scoreboard in the middle of the floor, which is also a nice touch.
We played 3 games. 3 teams, free for all, and 4 teams (randomized).
The arena itself is worth a mention. They put some serious work into this thing. 2 decks, with catwalks all over and plenty of sniping spots. There is this 1 catwalk in the corner that is actually a dead end, so if you are the cheap camper type, this is place to hang out. Just a tip. Oh, and don't wear any white/flourescent clothing, as the arena is bathed in black light.
It looks like they eliminated several other "cheats" I have seen at other places. For example, you cannot shoot the same person twice in a row.
Not sure if I'd go during regular pricing, but the evening rate is fantastic, and is totally worth the money. If you like shooting action but don't feel like getting a pile of welts from paintballs, this is the place to be.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 26, 2014
So much fun! Haven't been here in years but they've done a great job in updating the equipment. The check in process is much quicker now and the games started quickly without much lag time in between.
I made reservations earlier in the week and as promised they called to confirm and got my deposit. The guy was very helpful when I asked about their policies and worked quickly.
They have great deals throughout the week, the best being $4.75 on Sun after 6pm. We played 3 games for $20. Got a great workout and had tons of fun. We will definitely be coming back on cheap nights to play, especially once the new 3 storey arena is built.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Crystal J.Issaquah, WA6163240Apr 1, 2018
Not all the equipment works. Really irritating to try and shoot someone and it's not working. Also would be nice to have more of an intermission during sessions. But really like that that there's 3 you get to do, helps work on strategy. Noticed everyone goes upstairs right away and it helps to stick together with your team and man a certain area. Overall fun time. They should provide water in the lobby.

We arrived at 6 for our game. 2 of the computers to check in didn't work correctly, they asked us for our home addresses which is super creepy. We were continually told that we were next in line and that tuned out to not be the case. Long story short we waited for an hour to actually play our overpriced games of lazer tag. No efforts of compensation in tokens or food were offered for our patience.

Took the middle child here for his birthday party with a bunch of other over excited 7 year olds. They loved it! Lots of fun shooting each other, or missing, getting sweaty and eating pizza.
So why only 2 stars ? Well, from a parents point of view there are several things that would mean I wouldn't recommend it to any friends.
1) It was busy, not a problem, but there was only 1 person ( a young lad, possibly late teens) working there - he ran the cash desk, told everyone how to get their gear on, took the pizza and birthday cake up to the party room and deal with any other issues there might be. I am not normally a worrier, but it did get me thinking about how he would have dealt with a serious situation ( like a fire for example). This only came up as an issue because a situation arose whilst we were there that may have been handled a little differently had there been more staff around.
2) Party provisions - they literally provide 1 paper plate per child, so pizza and ice cream cake on the same plate..mmmm. Not a big deal I know and the kids didn't give a monkeys, but it is not a cheap place to go!
I have no experience of other venues, so maybe this is how they are all run. Anyway, we won't be going back any time soon, in spite of much, much pleading from the kids!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shila B.Vancouver, Canada17512858734May 7, 2013
Been here a few times over the course of a few years, I love it. I love the black light theme and feeling like I am in a video game. Very fun way to kill time on a Saturday that isn't a club or bar.

Took my young kid for the first time and was worried he'd get freaked out by the loud music and darkness and flashing lights. Sure enough he did, but credit to the guy running the show, he took my kid aside, let him shoot a few times to get the hang of it, walked him a few feet into the maze and showed him how to handle the gun, then after the first game was over, he walked my boy through the maze solo and showed him the best hiding spots. After that, the kid was a commando. Totally loves it, stalking adults and teens seemingly not caring that he's only six years old. Not a cheap outing but tons of fun and we came out dripping in sweat after three games. We'll be back for sure. Thanks Planetarians.

This place was just freaking fun... And me and my friends are all 14-17 lol. The 6 of us had a blast shooting lazers at 7 year olds lol. It was so fun and we were a good team, pwning the lazer zones. I want to come back. The only thing was some staff could be a little bit more helpful and pleasant, but maybe they need more staff that could be the problem, I understand its a bit hectic with all the kids running around yelling but some more direction when paying would of been nice as it wasn't too clear to sign in at the computers haha. Other than that, great time and place.

I haven't had a problem with Planet Lazer until today. I was going to book the place for my brother's birthday party. When I got there, another group was waiting outside, and had been for an hour already. I came back two and a half hours later to find the RCMP outside with the same group of parents and children. Planet Lazer refused to give a refund of any sort to this group for their own company's lack of punctuality.
You just loss one of your most avid customers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Linda R.Richmond, Canada029Jan 19, 2011
Do not know what this lady is talking about. Had a party at Planet Lazer and my kids absolutely loved it!
Yeah it was busy but the staff were awesome. If you are a perfectionist and expect superb service then do the party at your home or go to a reputable restaurant. This place is a Laser Tag centre, it's about the kids and having fun!
Yeah #2, only got plates for the cake but why would you need plates for pizza - last time I ate pizza I used my hands to hold it.
If you are an uptight person who doesn't like noise or a little chaos if the facility is busy then don't go. If you want to make your kids happy I highly recommend doing your kids party there. For $22 bucks a kid we got Pizza Hut Pizza, a DQ icecream cake, the candles plates, spoons etc etc and two long laser tag games. No one held my hand during the party but the value was well worth the 2 hour gong show and kids all had a blast!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
