PNC Bank

Woefully unstaffed at this location for at least several months.
Extremely long waits inside and at drive-thru.
Typical big bank - long on promises and short on delivery.
Closing my accounts and switching banks.

PNC bank in ft myers fl is so understaffed and it is the only pnc bank in ft myers. It is not uncommon to wait in line 30-45 minutes to see a teller. They us have just 2 tellers and the drive thru should stay closed. I was there at 10:20 am today with 8 people in line in front of me and one at each of 2 tellers. Teller number 1 had the same cus the entire time I was there. I left at 10:50 with still 6 people in front of me and teller number 2 took care of a drive thru customer before taking the next in line. When the next drive thru customer pulled up I left.

Slowest bank in the world, I never leave reviews but sitting here for 45 min and the line doesn't move makes you do that. Trust me use another bank unless you are full of patience and have nothing to do in the world.

**edit go to the PNC in Bonita, it's way faster and better in every way. Shit the one on San Carlos down. It's literally terrible

We were with PNC for fifty years, personal and business as a preferred customer. Never any overdrafts or any problems.
Last summer we were renovating a condo for resale and took out cash. We received a call from PNC asking what we were doing with our money and where we are going to spend it. We said that's none of your business. She said if you don't tell us we can close your accountS. We said fine you are not the only bank. In October we received letters saying they are closing our accounts.
We contacted the phone number at the bottom of the letter and received the reply; "that we can decide who to do business with."
So now we have to change all autopay and direct deposits and go to a different bank.
We would NEVER recommend PNC. It's a shame you can't withdraw your own cash without telling them what you are doing with it.

This PNC location made it possible for us to buy our first house. We showed up to closing with a check book instead of a bank transfer... 100% our fault.

There aren't many PNC banks in SWFL so we called to see how long they were open, and they told us that they closed in 30 minutes. Our realtor drove us there at the speed of light, and we went running in.

They looked at us, and said "are you the two trying to buy the house?" we said "yes", and they told us that the wire was already closed. We must have looked so defeated, because they then told us they were kidding. They whisked us aways to finish the process, and 30-minutes later we owned our first home.

Everything possible that can be wrong with a modern day bank is at display here.

I need to switch banks ASAP! Pnc is fine up in IL but in Florida it's a nightmare, and especially this location.

Not this particular branch but PNC bank as a whole is terrible!!! I tried calling customer service to get some help with online banking and I was put on hold over an HOUR!!! When I'm out of town having banking problems I want a bank that will answer the damn phone and help me get access to my money not put me on hold for a damn hour. This was on a Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon. There is NO EXCUSE to have such poor customer service from a banking institution. I'm highly disappointed in their service.

Typical PNC bank. They offer a ton of services even check printing and debit cards on the spot.

I went to open a checking account. I called this location and they told me to come at 4 pm Dec 14th 2018. I drove an hour to open the account reached at 3:30 pm. Waited there for 15 minutes. At 3:45 they said they do not have any appointment and they cannot open the account (though I spoke before I went and they confirmed to come at 4 pm). This is disappointing, unacceptable, annoying, frustrating as I called them before I went.

Appreciate if you value customer's time. Never recommend this place.
