Our traditional Japanese Shabu Shabu hot pot is healthy, hardy, and satisfying. At Shabuya we pride our self as a "Traditional" Shabu-shabu establishment. We specialize in a much healthier style of Shabu-shabu dining, relying on the natural tastes of the meats and vegetables to accent each other in the pot. Slightly improving and tweaking the original sauces, we have developed into a Shabu-shabu restaurant which is not only authentic and nostalgic but also adventurous.

Q:
How many ounces is each plate of meat for AYCE?
A:
The exact weight of each plate of meat isn't specified on their official menu. However, in shabu-shabu establishments, meat servings typically range from 4 to 8 ounces per plate. For precise information, it's best to contact Shabuya directly or… more

I'm planning a 17th birthday here for a friend and I have a couple of questions to ask. Do they take cash or is it credit only? Do you need everyone there to join the waitlist, or can you put your name on the waitlist and the # of the people going?
A:
They accept both cash and credit. You can join the waitlist in advance but your whole party must be present to be seated.

This AYCE place can definitely get busy so you might wait a while before you get seated. I would definitely recommend adding yourself to the waitlist. There is plenty of parking inside and seats inside. Customer service was good and the workers were friendly.
For the broths, you can mix them. I like the spicy miso and the tonkatsu combo as well as the sukiyaki and the spicy miso combo. The meats were decent quality and we didn't have to wait too long for the meats to come out. I like the variety of sauce options they provided. The self-serve area can be cleaner. The vegetables and the seafood at the self-serve bar were okay. The chicken karaage was average as well. Their capril sojus are refreshing. Given it's price point, it's a solid AYCE spot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2025
3.5/5
Been to Shabuya a couple times and it's pretty good AYCE option. Sometimes it can get busy but having the waitlist open is super convenient. Last couple times, it was not that busy thankfully so we were seated pretty quickly. Sometimes bigger parties might be a bit uncomfortable due to seating arrangements since they usually have one side booth and one side with chairs. Might be annoying if you're sitting in the middle.
Favorite soup base is the Bone Broth or Sukiyaki. Their karage is pretty solid but only when it's fried fresh. For meats, I avoid getting chicken and just ordering the other beef or pork meats over and over again. They put a few pieces of meat per plate which i understand but the plates do take up a lot of space on the table. The buffet bar has a pretty good selection but just be aware if you're allergic to certain foods since there's no separate tongs for every item. Some are shared. There's also no labels for things which isn't a big deal but would be helpful to know.
Service is ok. Sometimes they're a bit hard to get a hold of and they're not always checking up to see when you're ready for another round.
Overall, decent price for AYCE but I believe there's better out there.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 31, 2025
They offer five different soup bases, appetizers, meats, seafood, veggies and sauce bar.
Service was okay. We came with a large party and the appetizers kept going to different tables of our party :/
But overall an okay experience.
Ps. Don't use the restroom before or during your meal. There was a very strong scent.... Hopefully management can look into this.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 29, 2025
Pretty difficult to give an extra star.
Ambiance is like an old style hotpot place. Service was quick but almost never refill my pot. While meat seems to be well prepared the small pot is probably the prime reason it has to be very thinly sliced; varieties are again almost only the meat (10 items are pretty good though), the cold food station was not delightful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 13, 2025Updated review
What I said in my previous review still stands. However, I'm removing a star because of hygiene. When we were seated, we had to ask for a new bowl because one of our bowls had a dead fly in it.

This restaurant is all you can eat KBBQ and hot pot. The food is buffet style, where you can pick and choose your own toppings. I got the miso broth which was flavorful and the perfect base for my toppings and meat. This restaurant is worth the money! I enjoyed the beef ribeye and pork belly. The service was pretty quick and the server was really nice. I had a party around six people.

Solid place for AYCE hot pot! I had a party of 7 on a Friday night around 6pm and we got sat fairly quickly.
I ordered the original house broth. You order the meat but everything else is self serve at the food bar in the middle of the restaurant! Lots of different options for vegetables, mushrooms, noodles, seafood and tofu. There's also a sauce bar at no extra cost! The meat came out pretty quick and they check in often to see if you want to order more.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 16, 2025Updated review
We went to shabuya and took advantage kf their lunch special for 20.99
We got 24 trays of meats, plenty of mussels, clams and veggies. The broths are always top tier and the meats are delicious.
The seafood quality was not the best but this place's meats, broths and service are top tier! The meats are ready within a few minutes after you order and these people know how to run this place.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 27, 2024Previous reviewI have been a regular at Shabuya since pre-pandemic times, as this place has high-quality meats, many types of flavors of broth, and an extensive variety of seafood and veggies. The service is quick and they get you everything you need.

After passing by this place, I finally tried eating here. It didn't disappoint. I didn't know what to expect. I got the spicy miso broth and it was delicious. The original was just ok. The meats were great, couldn't decide which cut I like best. There's a good amount of choices veggies, seafood, and noodles. Only wish there was rice. I do wish they would give suggestions on dipping sauce. There are some items that are just served for dinner like the baby octopus. Service was quick. And the place is quite spacious. Definitely will come back when I'm much hungrier.

This AYCE hot pot restaurant gets 4 stars from me because of its high-quality meat. You're able to pick from a number of broth options (my go-to is miso) and they serve you multiple plates of meat and side dishes at a time. The rice comes free with the AYCE, and you're able to grab veggies/noodles from a buffet-style area from the middle of the restaurant. In my opinion, I've had better rice/sides from other hot pot restaurants, but this is still my go-to because of the meat (the pork shoulder is amazing). Service can be slow at times if it's busy (aka weekends or holidays); there have been times where my broth was looking empty for longer than I'd liked it to be.
