Skate and Shake

We had an amazing time at the Halloween Skate at Astro Skate Center this past Sunday. The manager Amber personally helped my wife pick out a new pair of skates and we could not have been happier. Amber stopped what she was doing to help us and took the time to explain the differences in skates. She was very personable and professional and is a true ambassador to Astro Skate Center. It's because of her and being valued as a customer that we will return. This is an amazing place, it's not only kids but adults as well. I highly recommend this place as a family event or for date night as you won't be disappointed! It was well staffed and a safe place to let the kids run wild. Thanks again Amber for helping us with our skate selection and free passes.

place sucks , they watch kids very weridly , my daughter came home very uncomfortable from the manger staring at her , place is discussing. moms this is not the place for your kids to hangout.

It's disappointing that they don't have skating for everyone every night. Came on a Friday which was kids night without me realizing it. It was true to its name and were literally just little kids skating. It wouldn't have been as bad if they were skating in the normal direction but they weren't. Instead of skating in a circle, they skating in an up & down direction. My friend and I stayed for 5mins before we decided to leave. Luckily they were nice enough to refund us without a problem.

Later I saw that adult night is only In Saturdays for two hours. This is so limiting. Unfortunately Daytona is a small town so there aren't a lot of other options unless you drive to Orlando.

What a blast!!!! The only reason I didn't give them a 5, was because we didn't try their food. I will update if/when we eat there. We were there on a homeschool fieldtrip on a Wed afternoon. The music was great!!! The employees are soooo nice and very attentive. I fell once and he was there in a sec!!!

But there are to many games so people can't really skate how they want to.

Went for a kid's birthday party so I'm glad I only had to rent skates.

The place smells bad and the private neon room for the party was worst than the whole place.

My allergies to mold and dust started flaring up my asthma. This will be a hard pass for my kids' party this year.

I loved skating and the places I went never smelled like a men's locker room that's been left alone.

I attended my 10 yr old niece's birthday party and I was so impressed! The place was very clean, looked and seemed brand new to me! Beautiful.
I would've taken a star away because it's Saturday and there are paid birthday parties throughout, all the tables were set up very well btw, but there was lack of the piping,safety rolling things that kids use to help balance themselves while having skates on. Another family and ours came between minutes apart to rent the gadget for our children. Long story short, the manager Jasmine, what a pretty girl btw, she was so professional, kind, very understanding, listened and explained to both of our families, the situation. She gave you the feeling like she genuinely cared and wanted resolution. It may have been that the family that just walked in, purchased the thing 2 min before ours, but we had been there for at least an 1 1/2 for our birthday party. I also talked to a women that was leaving to work and wanted to leave it with me so we went up to turn it in and re rent it. Jasmine was excellent. The other family was so classy and understanding. It worked out very well. I would highly recommend this place.

I was very disappointed when I took my daughter to skate. I mistakenly thought that since the business was open that they would be following safety protocols by requiring customers to try to safely distance and wear masks. In reality the place was extremely overcrowded with at least 4 birthday parties occurring simultaneously and a crush of others. Only a very few customers were wearing masks. My daughter and I left after we saw what was happening. This is a super spreader event waiting to happen.

I want to love this place, but the "moderators" on the floor are so dangerous. I thought their job would be to help create a safer environment, however it seems that they are intent on making it more dangerous for all skaters. I write this review after watching them and a couple other great skaters chasing each other over a hat and cause three little kids to fall because they are moving at such high speeds around them.
