Been coming to this market since it opened, it's far superior to the Shaw's across the street.
Produce, deli, bakery, and meat/fish depts. are ok, sometimes running out of items.
The specialty/organic section is pretty good, though I wish they had more Amy's Organic products.
It would be nice to go through the checkout and have a clerk who makes eye contact, and focuses on the customer rather than the bagger. As another reviewer said, I have been a third party to many conversations about who's going on break when, what they are planning for the weekend etc. That's a No Bueno when I am dropping between $60-80 a week for food. That's a lot of money to me, and it would be awesome if the worker would pay attention to the items, and discounts/coupons etc.
Hot tips;
-Come early (before 9 am) in the morning on a weekend. It is 100% worth it to navigate the aisles without the dreaded gauntlet of families and J WHOOOO students.
-They have a discounted bread and produce selection in the back near the bakery.
-The deli kiosk is the best thing ever. Punch in your order, go shopping then circle back for it.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Marilyn W.Warwick, RI040Jan 5, 2025
Haven't been in a Stop and Shop in many years and decided to visit today. Milk case was virtually out of whole milk other than gallons...I can work around that. A very pleasant worker helped my find an item, store was clean, easy to navigate, and loads of prices have been cut throughout the store. A pleasant experience until I got to the register and saw those STUPID PLEXIGLASS PANELS still hanging there. The cashier asked me something which I couldn't hear because of the background mysic and the utterly absurd 'shield', so she had to step to the side, which us 'shieldless', in order to speak with me. You see how ridiculous those dumb panels are? All they do is subtly let your customers know how stupid you think they are! TAKE THEM DOWN!
I absolutely won't go into that store again. I was livid.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James M.Cranston, RI2631732913Feb 16, 2024Updated review
After a grueling day at the hospital I decided to swing by Stop & Shop around 5:45 PM on a bustling Friday evening, hoping for a seamless and efficient shopping trip. However, my expectations were quickly shattered as I entered the store. Despite the rush hour crowds, I was dismayed to find only a single checkout line operational, which was already snaking its way through the aisles with an exasperating number of customers. Faced with the prospect of enduring a lengthy wait, I reluctantly headed towards the self-checkout area, hoping for a quicker alternative. Unfortunately, my hopes were dashed once again as I encountered a scene of chaos - malfunctioning machines, confused shoppers, and interminable delays. It was a frustrating and disheartening experience, to say the least. In the end, I left the store feeling utterly drained and disenchanted. Reflecting on my ordeal, I've come to the conclusion that my loyalty to Stop & Shop has waned, and I'm seriously considering making the switch to Shaw's for my future grocery needs. My tired and under payed checkout girl was the only bright light!

I called ahead to ask if they do money orders and they said yes. I get to the store to find out that the desk isn't open and no one knows how to do them. Why didn't the tell me that when I called? I drove here for a waste of time. They should have said something along the lines that we open at a certain time, and not waste people's time. The store is open, so why isn't customer service? Very unprofessional.

This Stop and Shop location really dropped the ball during the pandemic. They did not put limits on anything. IMHO they should have shut down the self service kiosks and enforced buying limits on certain things. People hoard. You could never get what you needed here! It felt really bad like as if they did not care about the community they serve.
If you combined this Stop & Shop and the Shaws across the street it still would not equal the value, selection, quality and service that you can get at the South Attleboro Market Basket.
People around here do not understand how bad they have it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We understand your concerns, Alyssa. We have never experienced this kind of demand for the products we are selling. Manufacturers have instituted nationwide limitations on a number of products, which has prevented us from getting enough to meet demand in certain cases. As with other retailers, keeping our shelves stocked has been a challenge in the past few weeks and our associates and suppliers are working around the clock to fill our shelves back up. We restock daily and depending on customers' needs, we may run out of items. We sincerely thank you for your patience as work through ways to ensure we have enough product to meet the demand.

I don't normally rate a supermarket, but this one has been grinding my gears.
Im only going here in the morning because shaw's isn't open before 7am.
How do you have a 24 hour store and only open the out door, lock the in door and prevent people from getting to the carriages?
I have to walk back outside, find a carriage in the parking lot, go back in and watch other customers do the sane thing!
Seriously? If one door is unlocked anyway why not unlock the one people need?
Not for nothing, but when im stopping here in the morning to spend my money in your store and I need to get to work, I don't have time to play this stupid game of hide the carriages.
Pull your head out of your rear and unlock the in door. No wonder your people went on strike!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Thomas K.RI, RI010Sep 22, 2022
I have been shopping here since the store opened. i have always had the loyalty card. Two months ago my access to my points, coupons and ability to redeem gas points was gone. I called customer care several times and they had no idea what the problem was. They told me there was a ticket assigned to my account for tech support. I call every week and get no answers. Now they are ducking me. They are clueless. I am done. Going elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience this evening at that store, I am a single mother with three children going through a life-changing situation and I was racially profiled for asking if I can purchase baby formula for my 3-month-old daughter, I was so embarrassed I went to the self checkout purchase the items that I already had in my cart didn't even finish shopping nor get the formula, The young blonde girl asked me if I'm okay because I was in tears and I told her that the petite woman hanging around the service desk was giving me the death stare cuz I wanted to get baby formula and I was denied the service what did she think I was going to do steal it with three kids and run out the door, so the young lady at self checkout felt bad and said that this wasn't the first time this has happened here that that woman is a store manager and does this all the time to people of my community, I don't know what else to do I'm over it I guess I'm never going back there it was too humiliating for me and my family but this was just my experience thank you for listening

I honestly hope that my friend takes what happened this evening at your location to the press. The fact that you had 2 of your employees speak the way they did to her and only one got suspended? One of them told her "you shouldn't of had 6 kids" and the other at the !?!Service Desk?!?! told her; "why don't you lick a toilet seat you cow." I don't know what kind of management you've got going on over there but your two employees should be fired immediately. And so should you as a "manager" for allowing this to happen right in front of your face without doing a single thing. She had to call district to have anyone look into it. I hope this makes the news. This is getting shared all over Facebook too btw.
