Strawberry Fields

I've been wanting to try Strawberry Fields for quite some time & finally decided to treat myself after a Sunday afternoon bike ride.

I was surprised at how small the shop was, with just a few guests inside, it felt very tight. You'll have to take your treat to go!

They had so many yummy flavors, it was hard to choose! But I settled with the Tiramisu! It was sweet, coffee & creamy!

Happy I finally able to experience the joy that is Strawberry Fields.

This is a small, quaint place on Colley avenue. The attendant was friendly. She provided samples without hesitation.
The smoothie was rich and flavorful. The gelato was really good. I had mango but I sampled others and they were good.

Our gelato was delicious! The counter person was friendly and very helpful with our selections. I loved all of the chocolate chips in the sweet cream and chocolate, and my husband really like his vanilla, as well. Being from Philly, we had to try the Butter Cake so we took a piece home. It was very tasty; perfect accompaniment to my coffee! Check them out after dinner on Colley like we did :0)

I found another game changer for strawberry fields. If you were to want a pint to enjoy at the comfort of your own home. . . you can choose any size cup just make sure you ask for a lid. Last night I made sure to get a few cup sizes to bring home because you won't always find the same flavors in pint size that's in the glass case. Two more super star flavors came home with me. What are the flavors you ask? No other than pistachio and American brew.
Now getting to enjoy these gelatos in the comfort of my own home is just priceless.

I popped in about 30 min before closing in March, 2024, and I inquired about the lucky charms gelato. It was so strange, and so delicious! A wild taste in my mouth, so I obviously had to have it.

Service was so lovely- I felt truly appreciated for coming in for gelato on a cold night (during "Shamrockin' in Ghent"). I highly recommend!

I have been wanting to try this place and I finally went! The place is too small, however, outside seating is provided.
Gelato was fresh, not too sweet.. just perfection. Some unique flavors are always available and you are also able to try gelato before deciding on which flavor to order.
Customer service could be better, that's why I am giving 4 stars.

I didn't actually try the ice cream, but I'd say try the açaí smoothie :)

Came here after a small get together at a brewery nearby and it was the perfect spot to relieve my sweet tooth.

The service was quick. They didn't have anyone there upon entry, by a nice sign to ring the bell was helpful. Once we rang it, we were met with a friendly employee who answered any questions we had.

I ordered the kids size and it was just the right amount of gelato. They let us get half one flavor and half another and I loved how they literally put half on each size of the cup instead of on top of each other, so we could really enjoy each flavor. I got half banana pudding and half stracciatella. So yummy!

The outdoor seating was comfy and inviting. I love the strawberry themed umbrellas.

I walked in with some friends on a Friday afternoon. There was only one woman there working the shop and she provided excellent customer service. I tried a few samples and settled on the butter cake flavor. I was curious to see how it compares to Jeni's butter cake ice cream. It's a unique flavor on its own and I really enjoyed it. There's no seating in the shop so it's carry-out only. Their flavor of the season was gingerbread so hopefully I can try that out before it's gone.

This is probably one of my favorite places in town!
I love the from-scratch gelato from here and it keeps me coming back whenever the sweet tooth hits. They change their flavors on the daily and list them on the sign in front (or you can check Instagram @sfnorfolk)! I have not had one bad flavor here, but for a core flavor I would recommend the stracciatella. The gelato is always creamy, fresh goodness.

You can get 2 flavors in any of their sizes, love that. Service is always great, everyone is so friendly. Although there's no seating inside, they do have a couple tables with umbrellas outside. Parking is on the street as with all the other businesses in this area.
