Because my favourite pupuseria was overly busy and understaffed, coupled with the fact that I was kind of on a time crunch, I decided to give this place a try.
The interior is clean and nicely decorated. The menu offers a pretty fair variety of Mexican cuisine, albeit it is a little on the pricey side.
I opted to go with a two item combo (chile relleno and mini burrito Al pastor) along with a small fountain soda. The total came out to $19.70 I ended up giving them $25 hoping they would get me my meal quickly.
The food was not delivered that fast. The entrees tasted good. But the portions were on the smaller side. The staff started cleaning up for closing time an hour and half or so before closing time. This kind of took them away from providing great customer service.
Overall I would rate this place as okay or average, but again, a little on the pricey side when compared to most taquerias I have visited in the area. I probably won't make it back, but I've learned to never say never.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Billy A.Brooklyn, NY1570Oct 12, 2024
Both of what follows were delivered by UBER Eats, so this is not an in-establishment review.
First time (a week ago) I ordered a breakfast burrito. It arrived in a timely manner, good flavor, generous portion, and, oh, yeah, it was still quite warm. 5 Stars!
This time, despite my knowing better, I ordered nachos (always a bad idea for delivery but I did it anyway). For whatever reason unbeknownst to me (even though I'm the one who did it), I also ordered a side of extra meat.
Well, hmm, UBER Eats has excellent tracking, so when the "preparing your order" part is what takes the longest, it's a prelude to bad news (it is for me anyway).
So yes, the order was delayed, and based on the time from pickup to delivery, there may have been a bit of a delay there as well, but nowhere near the time the order took to be prepared.
Ten minutes away, so, with Saturday traffic let's be fair and say twenty minutes. I tracked it at fifteen minutes from the time the order was picked up.
Now, let's face it, if anything was hot or ever warm at any time in this package at the outset, there would be evidence. Maybe some condensation inside the packaging, maybe the cheese would be partially melted, maybe the chips would still have some crunch rather than the consistency of a wet tissue (ew, what a visual).
The stuff was cold, right down to the bottom, as was the side of meat. Same thing, no sign of ever being hot. The meat, both on the nachos and the side was quite dry (and tough).
So, benefit of the doubt, I foolishly ordered nachos for delivery (no stars deducted).
The delay, well, again, benefit of the doubt, no stars deducted.
The cold food, mushy chips, and cold dry tough meat? 3 stars deducted + 1 added because that's just who I am (who am I?).
In all fairness, let me add this (as if you have a choice seeing how I am the one writing this), the portions, both the nachos and the side, were generous. No need to order extra meat as they provide plenty. Flavor? Also, very good. Would be better at least warm.
Why didn't I warm it up? Because, as usual, I'm in a hotel and I do not pack dishes or paper plates. But in this case, why heat up tough dry meat and lethargic chips? Once again, the hotel wastebasket is well fed.
I will give these folks another shot at some point and they can thank the first order and the portions on both orders for that.
There it is.

The review. Who asked me that?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JustmaliapotatoDavis, CA010Mar 9, 2025
As soon as I opened my pozole container I spotted a hair. That was very disturbing and I didn't want to eat any of the food. $60 down the drain. Also I don't know why my quesabirra tacos has such a strange funky smell. And my food was so soggy I had to refry it on the stove. This place has gone downhill.

If you're looking for a great breakfast burrito in the Woodland area, this is your place! They are serving up tasty two-fisted burritos that will keep you feeling full late into the day.
I've heard that this place can get pretty busy, but on the morning that I visited I was able to walk right up to the counter and place my order. Service was fast and friendly.
My burrito was stuffed full with rice, black beans, bacon, eggs, cheese & pico de Gallo. It was one tasty breakfast burrito that did not disappoint!Helpful 16Thanks 0Love this 18Oh no 0 - Laura V.Phoenix, AZ0640Oct 6, 2024Updated review

Came to this place with a friendly face approach by Maribel. She's very sweet and helpful and always with smile. That's the customer service we like to see excellent food and service all by Maribel. Unlike the other server with the glasses on. Don't say nothing, who looks so unhappy with her job. She didn't like to assist anyone by the look on her face.
Thank you MaribelHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 28, 2023Previous reviewCame here yesterday with my daughter. I only ordered one regular burrito. I walked in inside and I saw it wasn't that busy. But took one burrito half hour to get it done. The lady that took my order doesn't like to smile, the lady who handed the order didn't care much either. This place need a lot of improvement with their server. I used to come here a lot back in a days everyone including the owner was very friendly. The owner always check customers on their table to see if everyone's are okay.
Jul 15, 2015Previous reviewI like the food excellent taste! The owner is very friendly. He always greeted us with smile and positive attitude. I just don't like the old lady little mean sometimes. But overall I love going back to this place.

We ordered a carne asada burrito, adobada tacos and birriA tacos. The burrito was ok, but tacos were better!

I've been going here for over 20 years and quality has gone downhill. I paid almost $60 for some tacos, a burrito, 2 enchiladas and 2 sodas and we took about 2 bites of each and didn't finish. I don't mind paying higher prices if the food is good. This used to be my favorite place but I think I will skip this place from now on.

This Taquería has gone downhill, unfortunately. It used to be very good..., fresh and busy all the time. Nowadays there's hardly anyone in there, the salsa bar is laughable, and the food is served on paper plates now? Come on, stop offending what little clientele you have left!
