The street tacos and corn were very good. The grilled chicken and Brussel sprouts were excellent. The service was good. We will return and recommend this place to family and friends.

This restaurant is kind of hidden from the road unless you know it's there. There is a parking structure near the business. Seating is available inside and outside. We sat at a table with high top chairs and was approached by our server right away. He was very helpful and nice.
I got an order of Thai chili ranch wings and an apple Gorgonzola salad. The salad was recommended by our server. The salad had a lot of greens on it. Both were good.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 20, 2023
We got drinks at The Iron Oaks while waiting for our table at nearby Sushi Mon. Sushi Mon has some of the best sushi in the Triangle, by the way: https://www.yelp.com/biz/sushi-mon-raleigh
The drinks and service at The Iron Oaks were good. This is a relatively-new bar and lounge located on the ground floor of one of the office buildings at Glenwood Place. The Iron Oaks serves food too -- small, shareable plates + burgers and sandwiches.
At the bar, the big-screen menus had dozens of beers on tap. The wine list was sizable. Our group got cocktails. There were about 10 cocktails available. My wife had The Iron Margarita ($13) and I had the Mulligan Mule ($13). Both were well made, balanced, and tasty. Simple presentation. The Iron Margarita came with Lunazul Reposado Tequila, Cointreau orange liqueur, and housemade sour mix. The Mulligan Mule is The Iron Oaks' version of the Moscow Mule. It was made with Tito's Handmade Vodka, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and Goslings Stormy Ginger Beer.
There were TVs playing sports around the bar. Homey furniture was used for the lounge spaces (e.g., tufted couches and chairs, coffee tables). It was a mix of both traditional and contemporary furniture. The indoor and outdoor dining spaces consisted of modern high-tops with Tolix (or Tolix-style) stools. Inside, a glass fireplace separated the bar and lounge areas. Outside, they have a fairly-spacious patio that's mostly covered.
Hidden off to the side are two golf simulators. You can bring your own clubs if you want. I saw some guy walk in with his bag. While we were here, on a Saturday after 6pm, there was some sort of event (shower) going on. This does look like an ideal event space for smaller gatherings.
Plenty of free parking is available in the adjacent deck at 3705 National Drive.
Service was friendly and efficient.
The men's room was out of soap and paper towels.

This is in an interesting spot in the middle of a business park, retail, and apartments. I easily found parking on the street right outside, but there is also a parking deck right by it as well.
Quite a bit of seating outside (covered) with portable heaters. We sat at a high top for 4 people. There are also couches you can sit at.
Decent craft beer selection and you can get flights. They also have a cocktail menu, but I didn't look at it. The food was good. The fries that came with my Buffalo chicken sandwich were average and nothing special. The nachos my friend ordered as an appetizer were, unfortunately, a bit cold.
They have a golf simulator thing in the back for those interested in it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nicolas G.Rock Hill, SCOct 26, 2024
I really enjoyed my meal here. Burger, Brussel Sprouts, and Southwestern Egg Rolls. Atmosphere was great. Service was easy, speedy, and cheerful.

I have been to iron oaks a handful of times and every time the food has been delicious! I honestly think they have the best fries in all of Raleigh! And the beer selection is always excellent, I never have a problem finding something that I like to drink. And they let you try samples to see beer you like, which is very appreciated! The food menu is limited but everything on it is really good. I highly recommend this place!

The food here is excellent, you will not find better fries in Raleigh. Also the burgers are some of the best that I've had. And the best part is they have an extensive beer list on tap, and they have plenty of stouts which are my favorite. The service here is great as well, the bartenders are knowledgeable and very friendly. The atmosphere is nice, they have lots of comfortable couches and chairs to sit on if you like, or you can sit at a table. I haven't tried the golf simulator but it looks pretty cool! There is a parking garage right beside the building that is free to park at. Definitely give this place a try if you want great food at a decent price and lots of beers to pick from!
PS: the previous reviewer who said that you cannot get fries with a burger after 2:00 p.m. is completely wrong!Jan 15, 2022Previous reviewI was really surprised by the quality of food here! I expected it just to be a typical bar with typical bar food, but it is absolutely not! And they give you a huge amount for the money! The fries are probably the best fries that I have ever had anywhere, and the mac and cheese is definitely of gourmet quality. They have a very good draft beer selection as well and the cocktails are amazing! I like the location because it's right off the beltway. There is a parking garage right beside it so there is plenty of parking which is definitely a plus. They have lots of comfortable couches and chairs to sit on, and there's also golf simulators in the back which I didn't get to try out, but I will next time!

This reviews been a long time coming.. 1. Food is phenomenal! The menu has changed alot over the past years put it's has always been good but it seems like everything's clicking now! My favorite food options there are the Alfredo, red pepper pasta, and the Gouda burger (flavors unreal). 2. Beer: great selection not many places now days have a lot of stout options most places have mainly IPAs but they did it right with their 36 taps there's plenty of all types for whatever you are feeling 3. Staff: the staff is great here. Welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the food and beer options if you want a taste of a beer they don't mind helping you out. And lastly 4. Atmosphere: it's has great vibes, from the almost sportbar side with alot of tvs to watch your favorite team and sit and enjoy some food and beer. To the relaxing side side you want to sit on the couches with friends and play some cards and just drink. But you can't forget about the golf bays! They have 2 golf bays that are really accurate and the floor even moves based on the lie of the ball. You go from bombing the drive off the flat tee box to chipping out of a uphill slope in the sand trap.

I feel like four stars is too high, but three stars is too low. To explain, I went with a group tonight. I have absolutely no complaints or concerns with the staff or the drinks that we had. The wings were delicious and the fries. However, the chicken sandwiches and hamburgers were horribly dry and overcooked. I bit into my chicken sandwich and it splintered it was so dry. but it was the worst sandwich I've had in a long time. I am hoping it was just the night that we went, but it was the worst sandwich I've had in a long time.
