I was so excited to finally visit Turning Stone this week. I had heard such great things. I stayed for three nights this week. Played golf. Gambled. Did the spa. Ate at the steak house. And gambled some more. What stood out most was how poor the service was at every turn.
      1- valets: invisible / understaffed
2- bell men: rude and clueless
3- front desk: felt like everyone's first day
4- casino staff: inexperienced and snarky
5- golf staff: mean to everyone but unable to control rowdy groups on the course
6- spa team: sub par and poor communicators

I've been to dozens of places like this around the country and this place ranks dead last. A lot of nickel and diming. They charged me on my bill for a local call - the only call I made was to housekeeping for towels!

The grounds are beautiful though beware of construction. But that's no excuse for terrible service. Grade is an F. No way Forbes gave them top casino awards legit. Must be paid for - exposes the scam those awards are.

I played good golf and won at the tables. And I still will not go back. So over rated and I don't even think management existed to monitor how poorly their employees treat most guests. I spoke with others and they all felt the same.

      Warning. Book elsewhere.

Note: sole exceptions to this poor service were Tim at Atonyuo golf course and John at the steakhouse. Class acts both of them. Give them raises and let them train the other employees please.

UPDATE: You can see below that management replied and asked me to email them so they could learn more. I did right away and they have not responded. Which means they post these replies to give the appearance of being responsive to guests but they are not. Very consistent with my experience on property.

      Worst casino experience ever!
Games are tighter than a Wiperwilloes butt hole at choke cherry time.
Mostly old machines with many issues.
Hands hurt from hitting intermittent buttons.
Hotel room is lower quality compared to other casinos I stayed at.
Had to pay $5 plus tax to rent a refrigerator for the room.
I'm so disappointed with the visit that I want to say more but choose to leave a short message to the reader.
      I will never go back.

Went here randomly. I good getaway. Surprised more ppl don't know about this place. Stayed at the hotel across the street because it's cheaper

This place has a restaurant for every cuisine and it's all done well. Their lounge and night scene is way beyond impressive

      - farm house for country live music
      - rock music steps below with live band and all your fav hits
      - jazz room for smooth vibes
      - $10 cover to get into all as much as you want

There's a fancy part of the casino for weddings or just to take pics for the gram

      Golf course

There's boating nearby which was cheap and amazing - forget the name :(

Sometimes they have real célèbs like Fraser crane and etc

The customer service was 5 stars, staff is pleasant and always helpful. Breakfast room service was very good. They call you when the foods on its way. Pino Bianca restaurant was very good, loved the pasta and crab in a corn sauce was delicious. salad and salmon was delicious, but was a little salty,
We stayed at the lodge which was very relaxing after returning from the casino or golfing.
We would recommend Turning stone resort. We had a 5 star experience

I went to Turning Stone with my wife and two other couples in mid September, and had a very bad experience that will definitely deter me from ever returning.

I should preface by saying that my wife and I frequent casinos - we are members of Caesar's, Unity, Hard Rock, Ocean and Mohegan Sun, so we are experienced casino visitors.

The way I was treated on the blackjack table was beyond ridiculous. It started when my cousin sitting next to me ordered a drink and was told that "you need to average $25 per bet to receive free drinks". Not the worst thing ever, but certainly the first time that has ever happened - stupid policy if you ask me. The incident that sealed the deal for me was when the pit boss came over to me 10 minutes later and said: " for your own safety, don't cover your bet". I asked him to repeat what he said because I didn't fully understand him, and he said the same thing. I asked him - what the hell is he even talking about, and he repeated it a third time. I honestly had no idea what he was even talking about, he wouldn't even explain what covering your bet is, and when I asked him to explain what he is even talking about and to show me video proof, he mumbled something else I didn't hear and walked away. I never felt so disrespected in my life.

I was with my cousin a friend and our wives. We booked the Champions package and played three rounds of golf($933). While we were out golfing, the wives spent several hours in the spa($220), had drinks and ate. We all went out for dinners at night in the casino as well.

Between the golf, spas, drinks, food and gambling we easily spent over $7,000 between the three couples.

But I can definitely confirm that I will not be returning there.

The rooms are also in desperate need of an upgrade.

Many people don't realize that the Oneida Nation is required by New York State to give up 25% of their slot revenue to them. It was an agreement made with Andrew Cuomo during his tenure as Governor. The deal essentially exonerated the Nation from tax evasion. Law states that Native Americans have the right to build on Sovereign land although when they acquire land from U.S. citizens the land will be taxed by the government. After the deal was made is when the TS made some derogatory changes at the expense of the patron. Case in point, tobacco products rose to an astouding rate to help offset the revenue loss to NYS. That's just the tip of the iceberg though. The TS started nibbling away at everyone and the rewards they were accustomed to receiving. Free meals, comps, free drinks, free rooms and on and on. Now it's to the point where you'll be lucky to get 3 bucks in rewards points after a night of gambling (or losing in most cases). Their monthly vouchers have decreased dramatically and they are now bimonthly. For example as a Sapphire Player is used to get 200 bucks a month in vouchers. Now I receive 30 dollars bimonthly or 60 bucks a month. My play didn't change but my rewards did. I questioned them regarding my issue and their response was "we are cutting back everyone's rewards". Why? Bc they have 2 major expansion projects going on and they WILL cut corners wherever they can in order to pay for em. As a Sapphire Player I used to get tickets to shows and the use of any golf course I wanted to play on. Gone, cya, so long. Another measure to save money and pay for their expansions. My point is this people! You WILL NOT HAVE A CHANCE IN HELL OF HITTING A JACKPOT THERE! In 2023 I hit 16 JPs. In 2024 I have hit 1. My play didn't change at all, I played the same way I did in 2023 but thanks to the overhead the TS has succumbed to they cannot affod to pay anyone! Save your money and your frustration like I did 3 months ago and stop donating to a cause that could give a sh!t about whether or not YOU hit a JP. Don't be mistaken tho, I have seen people win JPs but they were betting 25 bucks a spin and winning 1500. Do the math please bc in 60 spins that 1500 ya just paid taxes on is gone! Now not only does the Oneida Nation thank you but so does the state of NY. Pretty silly huh? The TS has zero acknowledgement of the penny slot players. Yes the same 1s who helped build that empire, the backbone of the entire establishment. 30 years ago EVERYONE had a chance of winning. 20 years ago too. Not lately I can assure you. Their greed and disloyalty to the core of people who have rightfully earned their rewards no longer exists and I am living proof. Pathetic is an understatement. Their greed and disregard to the loyal patrons is how they intend to build an empire? History has proven how empires crumble. Normally it's through a revolution by the commoners who refuse to put up with anymore BS. Obviously that is NOT the answer in this case although a boycott would create a serious disturbance in their cashflow. Quite frankly I believe that the TS is feeling the brunt of some of their devious decisions. A casino can still exist w/o patrons spending their hard earned cash that is true. I think the best way to wake em up is to stop playing until they start paying! Plain and simple.

The Turning Stone Resort was a beautiful location for our wedding! We got married on the great lawn at the lodge and the reception was held in the clubhouse. Matt Rose was a huge help and guided our wedding planning. Chef Ron and his team made the most amazing wedding food we have ever had. Paula was our assigned server for the day and she was so attentive and on it! The Turning Stone team covered all of the details. It was a perfect day.

customer service here is a thing of the past. 3 times I got to my room and had cleaners enter with there key. Twice I was naked and once in the bathroom.

If you drive tractor trailer they don't want you there. They will not pick you up from the parking lot or allow you to park in the parking at the casino.

      Pros:

Nominal prices for the rooms to stay at the resort.
Pino bianco restaurant is excellent, so is upstate tavern.
The Hong Kong kitchen in the food hall is very nice too!
Hot tub and decent size swimming pool.
Very strictly follow covid guidelines like wearing mask.
They have a diner restaurant open 24/7.
A nice getaway for anyone in upstate.
      Free valet parking

      Cons:

The valet parker dented our car and refused to take any responsibility. I strongly suggest you take a video of the car before giving them your keys.
The bed which are supposed to be queen is smaller than a full size. We measures it!
Most of the restaurants are closed on weekdays leaving you with fewer options to dine.
Hence, I would recommend visiting this place on a weekend.
The staff are very under informed. Whenever, we asked any staff member for any information, they had no idea.
The Mexican restaurant and the Sam's delicatessen in the food hall are very bad. The food tasted stale. I would give them 1/5
      The spa is super expensive.
Only one roulette machine which was always packed.
Obviously, you will definitely not win anything at the casino, especially in any slots or machines.
