Q:
Do they have café de olla?
A:
Not sure sorry, I know they offer alcohol fueled coffee creations. Very Good!!!
Eleana A.Q:
How's the parking around 3pm?
A:
Every day is different. Usually from 3-4 is downtime so you won’t have an issue with parking during the week but weekends we can’t really say.

went here for dinner and had the best time!!
we were immediately greeted such lively decor and music when we entered!! also love that the table booths gives us a sense of privacy.
we got free starter chips and salsa while we decide what to order which took us a bit bc there's so many delicious options here.
i ended up getting the shrimp tacos which was so good and crispy especially with the sauce they added with a side of rice.
the only con here was that the server would check up on us every 20-30 mins but i'm sure they were busy with other people.
anyways love the fun atmosphere here with delicious food!! we definitely need to come back to try the brunchHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michelle H.Owatonna, MNFeb 4, 2025
The only thing this restaurant can boast about is ambiance. The rest is a train wreck, and needs a complete overhaul, including menu and staff.
If you can't afford good cuts of meat to serve in your restaurant, just reboot your menu to reflect that you don't care about anything but your bank account.
Serving unsuspecting customers second class meat while charging premium prices is a crime in itself.
Maybe someone not familiar won't notice, but most of us know you aren't serving what you claim to be serving.
As for your staff, I can only assume they are family and friends. There is no other explanation for the nonchalant, rude, and downright hostile staff you have supposedly working for you.
The drinks were fine, but on the weak side. While weak drinks are fine with me, it speaks to the cuts this restaurant is willing to take to save a few pennies.
We do wish we had looked at reviews before spending our money here.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jacki E.Milpitas, CAJan 3, 2025Updated review
I guess the carne en jugo wasn't really popular so they removed it from the menu.
Everything else was goodHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 20, 2024Previous review-5/5 Ambiance

Decent portions
Good seasoning
*Birria Tostada was great, flavorful. Good portion of meat
*Don't get the steak simmered in Chile Verde. It was basically half a cup of chopped carne Asada swimming in too much sauce like a soup
Need to come back and try their drinks - Jan 28, 2025
The inside of the restaurant is very nice and colorful, special artwork done by a local artist. The food was amazing, the concha French toast I originally wanted but they didn't have it so I opted for the tres leches French toast which did not disappoint. My boyfriend said the burger was a little too oily given the birria but overall was pretty good. The service was good and overall experience was nice.

On a spontaneous trip to San Jose we were looking for a place to eat. We had heard Tostadas was good so we went over. Because it was a weekend there was already a line to get in. We put our names down and had to wait for about 45min to get seated.
It was buzzing inside and full restaurant. Though the service was slow, the server was nice. We didn't have to wait too long for our food. It was pretty good food, I think we all enjoyed it & happy with our choices. I'm intrigued to try other items in their menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Aug 17, 2023
We came to Tostadas for dinner after seeing how busy it was and it was a big let down, I definitely expected more. We got the:
- Esquites with fried tostadas (7/10) - the chipotle sauce and the cotija cheese were so good with the corn, but it was just a little watery.
- Nachos (9/10): we asked them to make it vegetarian and they added on grilled veggies! This was probably my favorite item we had all night.
- Chile Relleno (5/10): it was semi-decent but the portion was so incredibly small for $20; 1 single filled chile - definitely not worth it.
- Enchiladas Verdes (6/10): the Verde sauce was very good, but I've definitely had better filled veggie enchiladas.
- Tostada with Soychorizo (4/10): the soychorizo was so heavily seasoned with taco seasoning that it made the whole dish so salty.
- Vegetarian Birria Tacos (3/10): the cheese inside tasted like melted kraft cheese slices which made it very nauseating to eat.
- Mangoneadita (1/10) - it tasted like straight mango syrup and I could barely taste the alcohol.
I think it's ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food you get. And our server barely came to check on us, let alone give us the basics: utensils, plates, or napkins. I felt like I had to constantly flag someone down. Overall, I think this place is overly hyped and will not be back. Maybe the brunch is better?Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 11, 2023
A former coworker and I met for dinner on a Friday night. Walking in, the restaurant is very spacious and we were sat in the middle of the restaurant. There are booths and tables here.
We ordered the elote, birria, and sliders. All the food was really good, but we made a mistake with the elote--it came on the cob! We didn't predict this and didn't have the courage to ask the wait staff to cut it for us. We asked for a knife but man, that was a strong cob. I let her take it home.
We sat and chat for awhile, and around 8 we noticed DJ equipment was making its way inside. The lights were also changing... did this place turn into a club at night?
We didn't stay to find out, but I'm sure it was a great time!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 7, 2023
I love love Mexican food but Tostada's has been a let down my last couple of visits. I had the Margarita flight and a quesadilla. The quesadilla was okay, their birria tacos are amazing which I had a previous visit.
Bigger disappointment was their margarita flight, the watermelon one tasted stale - like when an already cut watermelon has been sitting in the fridge for a few days and develops that stale taste, ugh. I didn't even finish half the drinks.
Their food quality seems questionable over all, I've seen mention of their health ratings. Service is okay, hard to expect excellent service at a place so packed but they do their best.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 21, 2023
I first visited Tostadas last May for dinner with some friends. They had vegetarian tostadas on the menu made with soyrizo that could be made vegan without cheese and sour cream. Very good tostadas!
This time over a year later the menu has been updated with a couple more vegetarian/vegan options. One option being vegan Birria tacos. If you are fully vegan and do not eat cheese, make sure to ask for no cheese on these tacos. The menu says "vegan birria tacos" but it also says "melted cheese" in the description. My husband being vegetarian ordered them with the cheese and it was not dairy free cheese. I ordered them without the cheese and they were perfect. It was 23$ for 3 tacos and + and extra 5$ for a side of rice and beans. I didn't mind the price point because the tacos really were worth it. I will go back for the birria tacos and the wonderful spicy sauce they serve with them.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
