I am not certain, however, just before I ordered my doors, a new build around the block from me had similar style iron doors installed and had to have passed inspection. The glass used is pretty thick.

Started our shopping all over the Bay Area and ended up ordering through Universal Iron Doors based out of Southern California (recommended by my good friend) and all I can say it was a wise and great decision. Most of the time I want to see the product in person before I make the move, especially a large purchase like an entrance door but we took the chance and it paid off))
I contacted them via email and Harutyun was assigned to help me. His knowledge and patience was much needed for my shopping:)

I was actually looking for an energy efficient double door entry (fiberglass, I think), and finding a door that fit my entryway was very challenging. Many door places had options to look at, but very few and very plain for my price point . Universal Iron Doors had so many doors to choose from!!!
I visited their location in Van Nuys and was still focused on a double door for an 60x80 entryway. They actually had a few double doors I would consider... Harut was very helpful and patient.
We came across a large, single, pivot door that both my husband and I loved. Harut explained the fit and answered all our questions. We were lucky that the door was in stock so installation scheduling was the only thing to wait for. Perfect!
Today, Vahe installed the door. They were very clean, very nice, and made sure the door worked perfectly! I am very happy with our choice! Definitely worth the money and wait.
The whole experience was lovely. Definitely a "family feel"... when we purchased the door everyone was nice and accommodating and the accountant lady even shared chocolates with me as she was processing our order! Overall, wonderful experience.
Will update the review if we notice anything with the door over the next few months... until then, THANK YOU Universal Iron Doors!!!

The company sent over Vahe A. and he uninstalled the door, repainted them and installed them back in one day. The doors now look brand new again.

Karen and his father showed up within hours and with wonderful friendly smiles fixed the problems and replaced anything that was required. They were a delight, respectful,professional and efficient. They were in and out within 10 minutes.
I literally cannot recommend this wonderful company and their great staff enough. Thank you again to crystal( -I'm sorry if I spelt that wrong), Karen and his father for elite service

Leon online and via phone made it efficient and easy to get my door both designed and measured up.
The delivery came a month earlier than scheduled and crystal was even able to get my installation day earlier than originally scheduled. All round very easy and efficient service.
On the morning of installation Philip and Raymond arrived on time and prepared. Thankfully they did as the measurements were slightly out. I need not worry as the gentlemen sealed the door frame after installation both interior and exterior to leave me with a beautiful clean finish. Thank you both for your efforts today.
The door itself is grand,sturdy yet smooth in its action. Beautifully designed and created it has really added class to the front entrance,a wonderful feature of the house now that lets light in through the raindrop glass. The extra mosquito net feature that is removable via magnets is also a great addition for those days I may want to open the glass section of the door to allow a breeze yet restrict bugs/flies etc
All in all a wonderful experience with this company and I would recommend to anyone that this be the company you trust to give you both quality and at a reasonable price. This is a high quality value for money service and I couldn't be happier

It started with our visit to their large display room in Panorama City. Asael walked us through ordering process and was clear and upfront about the time expectations (our door needed to be shipped from overseas).
The staff also helped provide all the necessary drawings, insurance coverage, etc required by our homeowners association approval process. Once our deposit was made, the crew came out to do final measurements.
Today was our long awaited installation day and Karen and his crew worked tirelessly to remove our old doors and frame, covered our furniture in case of dust,reconnected our alarm wire, and installed the new pivot door and frame.
