I tried to give this place a fair chance. Having never been there, when I called I explained that I wanted to go lighter for summer with a blonde balyage. I had a gift card from a friend who researched salons extensively and selected Victor Victoria because of the reviews.
After showing pictures, the stylist told me it would take two visits to achieve the light blonde color in the images I shared which I was fine with. After two times, my hair was three toned and brassy with white gray ends. I tried to give it a few weeks but finally called and shared that I was disappointed and unhappy. I purchased two 50 dollar bottles of shampoo that were going to help the "ashy" color based on her recommendations. I said I'd be happy to see someone else on a day the original stylist wasn't working so she wouldn't be embarrassed but I was encouraged to give her a chance to fix it because all stylists are "independent contractors" and I'd have to pay full price for someone else to fix it. I was OK with paying but thought if I explained my concerns, the original sylist might be able to fix it.
So I went back, a THIRD time and she said the multi toned hair (read ORANGE) would look better if we lightened the middle and if she put a light brown on the root. After a few weeks of having muddy, uneven colored hair, I finally decided to go elsewhere to get it fixed. These pictures are taken by that stylist. If you cant clearly see how awful this looks, you may need to get your eyes checked. So...about 400+ dollars in visits and hair product later, THIS is what I'm left with.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 125127978Apr 20, 2018
Hillary is a goddess ! I've never been happier with a stylist !!!! I also had the pleasure of having Chevy do my makeup , also an amazing experience! Chloe also does a great job! Hillary though located in the old market so you do have to plug the meter, but it's worth it !!!!!

Visited recently for a mani/pedi. Sadly I can't recommend it for this purpose. It seems that there are several nail technicians that contract with this salon. There is no doubt variation depending on who your appointment is with so I will try to comment only on those aspects likely to be consistent regardless of who you schedule with.
In general, it seems nail services are not Victor Victoria's bread butter. A lot of the features I come to expect with pricier nail services were missing during my visit. A combined mani/pedi with shellac starts at $85. For that price many salons include a paraffin treatment, stone massage, drink, etc. Alas, that doesn't seem to be the case at Victor Victoria. My services included nail shaping, buffing, color, and massage. Which were nice, but things I could likely do for myself in about half the time at home. My visit was just over two hours.
Another indicator that they don't have a lot of nail clients was the fairly limited number of polish options. More frustrating was the fact they didn't have pre-painted color wheels to show your options. Shellac polishes generally come in opaque black or white bottles making it very difficult to tell what your color options are and basically impossible to know how those colors will look once on your nails. While I don't hate the color I selected, it definitely was not what I was expecting and would probably not have selected it had I been able to see it on first. Unfortunately with shellac, by the time it's on your nails it's a massive pain to change course. Additionally, despite having a fairly small selection, both colors I chose seemed old, resulting in an uneven manicure and a sticky pedicure.
The space was lovely with lots of interesting touches throughout. The scheduling staff were very helpful and returned my call promptly. I'd try Victor Victoria again for a massage or facial. Unfortunately my first visit was a miss.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kelsey K.Gothenburg, NE040May 23, 2019
I've gone here twice. Once for color and cut and once for a manicure. Somehow, I got stuck with the same person twice... she was rude and got the color wrong with my hair. To color and cut my hair was $200, but when I explained that the look is not what I asked for, the stylist told me I could pay another $200 for her to 'fix' it. The second time (a year later), I scheduled an appointment for a manicure and said I didn't have a preference about who did my nails. When I walked in, I realized I had the same lady as I did a year ago. She was just as rude the first time and did a terrible job on my nails. She only painted the center, and it chipped off very fast.
The issue with this salon is that the salon doesn't set the prices. The stylists set their own prices and can charge whatever they like. I felt like I was getting screwed over on price both times I went.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Koshya W.Greeley, CO18211064May 21, 2017
I've popped into this salon here and there, but never was a regular in any of the services they offer. I would come in for a haircut occasionally, but always left very satisfied. It wasn't until recently I've begun to frequent this salon due to the amazing time I have with their spa services!
Every four weeks or so, I come in for facials and they are so relaxing! My skin has never looked better. I come in and see Abby and she's been great. Very attentive to my skin type and problem areas. I also appreciate the samples she gives me to take home, which have lasted for me until my next appointment. I can truly see a difference in my skin, even only after a few appointments. I would highly recommend. I forget which products she uses, and with sensitive skin, her products are very gentle and she always asks before if she can use certain products that may cause irritation. The whole ambiance really works for me and I leave with glowing and healthier skinHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Judy N.Houston, TX16710157Aug 18, 2017
I purchased a groupon for a shellac manicure and pedicure with Jared. Long story short, I will pay full price 10 times over again if it means I can avoid reliving this experience.
PERSONNEL: Jared was pleasant enough. He wasn't outright rude or anything, but here and there, I could get the sense that he DID NOT want to be doing my mani-pedi. He's not talkative, which is fine, but he presented this low key standoffish vibe that I didn't appreciate. He was never blatantly rude, but overall, NOT good customer service.
PEDICURE: The pedicure wasn't horrible, it was mediocre. It definitely pales in comparison to any other pedicure experience I had, but overall, my toes look decent, so I'm not totally mad about it. There wasn't many colors to choose from, and despite the groupon being for a gel manicure and pedicure, I was informed that only the manicure would be gel. Dishonest marketing, but OK, I'll let it slide because gel toes aren't really my thing anyways. Still, should have been upfront about it in the groupon description.
MANICURE: Horrible experience. There were barely any colors to choose from, first off. Secondly, my cuticles are still recovering from the wrath of his nippers. The first time he got me, I figured okay, whatever, just an accident. But after the 4th finger, I was so over that BS. When he started to paint my nails, I just wanted to leave. Imagine THICK nail polish, being coated over and over again. Corners weren't filled. And all the concerns raised were brushed off or half-assed tended to.
I walked out of that salon ready to wipe it all off and pay full price to go to another salon. I guess I learned my lesson that groupon service is cheap for a reason. Could have paid my 5 year old niece to paint my nails and I'd be more satisfied.
Overall, I have seen good things come out of Victor Victoria Salon, so I have no intention of bashing the salon itself. However, if you're there for service with Jared, please be forewarned.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie M.Omaha, NE1076059Apr 20, 2015
If you're looking for a one stop shop within a salon, this is your place!! From massages, to facials, nails, makeup, and hair this place has it all.
The recent remodel is beautiful! A trendy meets vintage chic vibe and tons of space for larger parties. The salon is always clean and the employees professional. I've seen Hillary for years and have never been disappointed. She listens to you and will offer her input if needed. She's very creative and I feel as if I could trust her to do anything with my hair.
Do yourself a favor and check out this fabulous salon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 24, 2017
Cory is phenomenal. Cut & color, he's the best (and I've tried A LOT of salons). He's been doing my hair for years and he always gets it right. I moved away to Tampa 2 years ago and tried several salons in my area...each experience ended in disaster. Luckily my job flies me back to Omaha often so I can still go to Cory. I'll never let another stylist touch my head! Not only is he amazing at his job but he's absolutely hilarious and I truly enjoy sitting in his chair. The receptionists are always friendly as well and the salon is super cute. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

I knew I was going to have Sunday free of work while visiting Omaha so I thought I'd relax and treat myself to a massage after a hellish week. I booked this appt a couple days ago. I was happy to see VV salon took Sunday appointments. Welp, an hour before my appt I see a voicemail that my appt had been canceled and I've tried calling back like 20 times and the line has been busy. Pretty bummed about this experience.

I was looking for a nail salon. I had tried a couple others but felt like I was being rushed out and hurried so they could get more customers through the door. Like fast food style! I wanted something more personal and to feel like they were actually glad to see me. Not only that, I had a shellac manicure and at two different prior places that did the manicures, it didn't last 10 days before the shellac was peeling off my nails. I actually found Victor Victoria on Yelp. It's in the Old Market and the atmosphere and look of the building and place is amazing! Complete urban comfort! The staff was so friendly and accommodating it felt like home! I received a complimentary cup of delicious coffee. And if you come later in the day and are of age, you can order a cocktail from the bar below! McKenzie did my nails. She was so personable and meticulous. It was a completely relaxing experience which is what you want from a salon! A mini escape! And my shellac manicure lasted 3 weeks, through a move! Only one nail peeled off the day before I was going back for a new manicure!
