Q:
Is the water deep enough for kids' kayaks? Or is it more of a sit in chairs and play kind of river spot
A:
The river was really shallow in all spots we tried to fish. We haven't had hard rain in a while, so I would say it would be more of a chair in the river spot. Kayaking would be a no go.

This park is amazing! They literally have everything a kid (and adult) could want to do on an RV adventure! The only downside- is the price for all the "extras"
You pay a GOOD amount to stay. Then, lots of the activities are at an extra cost. For us, it's a once-a-year splurge and the kids love it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Jellystone Kerville was an amazing place to take my family to. The kids were outside, nonstop, running, and jumping and using all of the facilities amenities. Our cabin was cute and cozy. We loved everything that Jellystone had to offer. There were lots of kids activities, as well as a bunch of fun for the adults. We already booked our next staycation.

Ready for summer #5 at Jellystone Guadalupe River. Our girls look forward to this vacation every year. The main attraction is the water park of course and renting cabanas is a must to enjoy the day in comfort and be able to relax while out at the pool. Our girls love the freedom of riding their bikes around the park to all the various activities and we love following along when its a family event. I'd have to say aside from the waterpark the wet hayride is our absolute favorite... We've added our own twist as we follow along and attack the hayrides with ICE COLD water soakers and balloons.... ITS A WONDERFUL TIME and we are awaiting this year's trip...... Highly recommended.

This place is overrated, I thought it was a family type summer camp. First of all it is expensive for what you get, they make sure you stay 2 days because they know after 4 hours you are ready to go. You have to take your own linens, and the AC system does not work that well, and there is no fishing. For what I paid it would have been cheaper to go to place by Austin. People don't waste your money on this place you will be disappointed. Also if someone offers money for the cabanas take it and stop waiting for someone to pay almost $300 for one, something is better than nothing. Also I was served BLT with bacon bits and cheese, tacky.

Great location and amenities. I like the price range and placement of their RV sites. in other words, you can decide if you want to spend more and be right on the water or spend less and be away from the water is a beautiful property.

Fun park! Is larger than some other Jellystones the water park was a blast and there were more food options here. Due to the size I'd definitely recommend a golf cart, or pack up the bikes too we had a great time and love that jellystones are a go to for our families.

Hi there, we are so sorry to hear your experience didn't match your expectations. Could you send your contact information to management@jellystoneguadalupe.com and someone will be in touch with you.
Jul 18, 2023Previous reviewWe had a very disappointing experience at Jellystone in Kerrville, TX, specifically with our accommodations. The was a horrible smell in the cabin when we checked. A quick trip to Walmart solved that. However, it just went downhill from there. There were blood stains on the linen (which the staff swapped out quickly), a roach in the toaster, a filthy coffee carafe and mold in the shower. The morning after we checked in I went to the office to share the photos had just taken of the coffee carafe and toaster and was told that Garrett, the GM, would contact me. We went about our day and visited the arcade and where paid $5 for a game card that was supposed to give us 20 credits but actually only gave us 16 (see photos)?? This was also shared with the front desk staff that afternoon when I went back to the office and asked when I should expect to hear from Garrett. He then called me a couple of hours later. He was polite and apologetic and said he would call me the next morning with a resolution but he never contacted me. I sent an inquiry through their website hoping to get a response that way but still have not heard from him 13 days after we've checked out. I get it. It's camping but for $323 per night(!!!) I expect more, even if it is just 'camping'.

Gross is what I can say about this stay. Bathrooms were never cleaned. Poop. In a shower stall. Windows you could barely see out of in recreational area. Disappointing for what we paid.

Great place for a few day get away and plenty of opportunities for social distancing.
We (family of 5 plus 2 dogs) desperately needed to get away from the house after social distancing and limited activity outside the house since March.
We looked at renting houses at the coast, resorts, and everything we could think of that would give us a room with enough space along with some activities. At some point we stumbled across Jellystone campgrounds. We started by looking at a different one and then found this location. I called to talk to the front desk to answer a few questions and then booked the room. Be sure to check for discount codes on their web site. 20% off 4 nights stay when we booked.
The hill country cabin was perfect. Smartly designed space with plenty of room for our family. The loft was perfect for the youngest kids, 9 and 12. The bunk bed was fine for the 17 year old. We brought a large kennel which we could use to block the stairs on the porch which gave more space usable by us and the dogs.
The cabin was in very good repair and seemed quite new. The kitchen is perfect to prepare your own simple meals and curbside Togo from HEB is only 10 minutes away.
The WiFi is horrible. Don't count on it. It's not even usable to get a connection for email. T-Mobile coverage is good. We tethered about 40 gigs over the 4 night stay. ATT data speed was very slow, but phone service was fine.
You can keep distance from people very well at the river. The pool could be crowded at times but there was easily an hour at 09:00 where you could swim without being near others. The water slides are popular and you won't be able to social distance well using them. They open at 11:15 and the kids were able to go down 3 times before we had to pull the plug. It would be possible to space the line, but no one is enforcing it and people stand right next to you. The bouncy pads had brief times where you could use them without a crowd but we're often too busy to avoid contact.
You will see many without masks and not taking covid precautions but it's possible for you to keep your distance. The only employees I saw wearing a mask were at check-in. Those in the rec center and all around the pool area were not wearing masks. I estimate less than 10% of guests wearing masks. In most cases this is ok, but I felt uncomfortable with the large group coming into the pool at 11:15 crowding without masks.
The facility is great, we loved the cabin, and you can achieve a comfortable exposure level.
We will be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
