Tanya’s 5-star review: Wet Sweet Chili. My new favorite. I was even able to get all flats for an upcharge. Dry Lemon Pepper...too much for me...very lemony peppery, but you might like it! The rice is good. It has little broccoli pieces so I feel like I'm being healthy, but enough fried egg to keep me happy. And I don't like everyone's lemonade, but theirs is on point. The service was very friendly & nice. It looks clean inside too. -
Tanya’s 5-star review: Our server was Kevin and he was exceptional as well as the managers, which is why I'm giving 5 stars. We ordered lobster bisque (could use more lobster and be hotter but decent flavor), calamari & zucchini (small portion but decent), delmonico steak (delicious!, asked for medium well and it was closer to well done, but the guys tore it up anyway), sea bass (decent after adding salt, love the sauce, but pistachio bits not necessary in our opinion; this is not my favorite kind of fish so I will try something else next time), mashed potatoes (buttery and goodness), lobster mac and cheese (everyone liked it), brussel sprouts (our favorite), truffle fries (our friend's go to and he finished them up), cheesecake (normally my go to but our friends liked this one more), feature dessert was strawberry shortcake (hubby's go to and I liked it), latte (looked like it was good), coffee (needed to be hotter especially after adding creamer, but it was good). There's a big room in the front that looks like it would be a good size for an event. It's close to us and the ambience is nice. I would definitely come back. Gotta remember no military discount. -
Tanya’s 5-star review: This place is really close and if my receipt is correct (forgot to ask), our server was Kacy J, who was really awesome. It's nice and new and a cute place. We got complimentary chips and salsa, which was ok. I ordered 3 tacos, which was more than I can eat, substituting for flour tortillas and no white onions, but the guacamole and pico de gallo is decent. I had a birria (which I need to stop getting bc it's an oily one with cheese like a mini quesadilla, but that meat is really good!). I had a chicken and a steak, which they give a lot of meat and it was decent. K had an asada burrito, which he liked and said was super filling. He also ordered the spicy Korean chicken wings, which we both loved!! They should keep them year round and not just seasonally. K had apple pie flavored ice cream and he really liked it. I tasted the coffee ice cream and it was decent, but I didn't get any. I would come back for the wings! -
Tanya’s 5-star review: OMG, the $33 crab cake with capers is going to be a favorite of mine! I almost wrote off Pappadeaux since the king crab legs are off the menu until they brought me this awesome crab cake with my main favorite, baked potato with sour cream & butter. K said you can't go wrong with fried shrimp, but we didn't love the dirty rice. He likes the brownie & ice cream, but it's not my thing. Plus, I was full, especially after my other favorite, the shrimp & crab dip! Go ahead and order the extra side of crostini's for $1! I tasted someone's seafood fondue but it wasn't as good as mine. The server was nice and it's always a good atmosphere. The sweet tea was good. -
Tanya’s 5-star review: It's Noon on a Saturday & not packed at all. I believe they serve brunch until 3pm. I ordered the American Breakfast Sampler and got cheese grits & bacon and an extra side of chicken sausage. It was good. The bacon was cooked perfectly. I added the honey butter (at an upcharge) for the biscuit, which I didn't need bc I'm not big on biscuits. However, that biscuit in the toaster oven at home was even better with butter & jelly! The belgian waffle and syrup was 5/5, probably one of my favorite, which is a big deal to me since I search for the best waffles everywhere I go! I liked the waffle the most...maybe next time, I can get it with a side of eggs and chicken sausage! The server was nice but could have checked in with us more, considering it wasn't that busy yet. Parking in the garage is free! This is such a cute area! -

Tanya’s 5-star review: We come for special events because it's pricey and I always eat too much! The service is great and they clear your plates and refill drinks quickly. It's nice and big with plenty of variety. I was told you could get buffet to go for $5.99/lb or with seafood $7.99/lb. -
Tanya’s 5-star review: Tables turn over quickly and it was worth the wait. The house salad with ginger dressing was pretty good & the fried gyoza was perfect to eat with my salad. The 007 sushi roll is now my favorite...the shrimp was very crunchy. The Classic Tonkatsu texture was good. K said it's a good backup to his favorite place bc of the noodles, but it's hot & the bowl is more flavorful overall & the broth doesn't taste fatty. The pork is browned nicely. K said no corn next time bc it's sweet but I liked it. He wants to add bean sprouts & bamboo shoots if possible & said it would be perfect. I really liked it too! The servers were friendly and the restaurant was clean with cute decor, a wood look. The sweet tea was perfect to me and the Thai tea is exactly how K likes. -

Tanya’s 5-star review: I was lucky to get a table since there is a small seating space. The fried fish sandwich the next day seemed spicy, but the fish was huge and I ate the edges of it with creamy cheese grits, which was great. The brussel sprouts were decent. I would have liked them a tad crunchier. The coffee was good. My friend liked her fried chicken & fries, but we didn't know we could have ordered from the breakfast menu at lunchtime. We should have asked. I had to buy bottled water, but if they are not sure about their water system, I would rather be safe than sorry. The ambiance and service were both very nice. -
Tanya’s 5-star review: We ordered the deviled eggs and enjoyed them. I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes, grilled spinach, and some root veggies, which were all good. K had the pork chop which had a few potatoes in a bed of corn, which was right up his alley. I really liked the corn too. We got all of our food within 15 min and our server, Jay, kept our water glasses full and was superb. We bypassed the valet and parked in the garage, which was only $5 for the time we were there, so it's definitely a place we will visit again. It's louder and colder on the inside, so we preferred being on the enclosed outside area. They offered military discount too! -
Tanya’s 4-star review: The bang bang shrimp was 5/5. The main courses were great despite a delay. K had the steak special, with mashed potatoes and cauliflower (which were crunchy and good). My chicken francaise and mashed potatoes was good too. I substituted the broccoli for brussel sprouts and they were some of the best I've had. The cheesecake was dense and came with strawberry compote, which helped, but we didn't finish it and didn't want the leftover. They had a military discount, which we appreciated. We didn't get our main course until we had been there for an hour, so maybe it took 45 min? We wondered if the server had to correct our order or something because she came back over to make sure she got it right. The location is nice, right beside Dreamland and we had a nice parking spot. The Opentable reservation was perfect. I thought the restaurant was going to be bigger. It's decent, just loud and not romantic, but good for a hangout....well, a $100 hangout. -

Tanya’s 5-star review: Our server, Jay, was awesome!! K had the clam chowder and he said it tasted like it was fresh out of the ocean and it was slightly sweet. My crab bisque had a lot of crab in it. It had a tad more tomato base than I usually like, but it was pretty tasty. I would ask for no scallions on the soups next time. K had king crab legs (2 large) for $90, but he loved them. He said this will be his spot for crab legs. It came with creamy mashed potatoes and we substituted green beans for broccoli. He had a vodka martini. I had a super crunch shrimp tempura roll, which I loved. I also ordered a regular shrimp tempura roll but was too full to eat it. We really liked the key lime pie. K said it was real and good. Lol. The chairs are extra comfy and the restaurant is nice. There was free valet. For 2 people, we spent $222 with tax and tip. -
Tanya’s 5-star review: I liked everything I ordered. The free pita bread with goat cheese (and other things) was pretty good. I loved the corn. I had the wings and grilled shrimp, all on the appetizer menu but perfect for me. The baklava was a real treat. I didn't think I was going to like it, but it was awesome. This location seems very busy. Maybe I would go back to the one at the Avalon. We had reservations and still had to wait a while. The ambiance is very nice, although a little loud if you're looking for something more intimate. -
Tanya’s 5-star review: OMG, we loved it!! I liked the baked chicken seasoned nicely (more than the red stewed chicken) and yellow rice/peas...sorry for not calling the right names of the dishes. The mofongo was pretty good, but not my thing. K liked the stewed goat more than the beef and I liked the ox tails. Jose provided awesome service! You can look at all the food like cafeteria style, but then they bring you the food to the table. The restaurant and bathroom were very clean! The only thing was they charged 15% tip for large party but it was only 3 of us. Then, K didn't look at the receipt and tipped again 18%! Good thing it's the holidays...have a good one! -
Tanya’s 4-star review: I really enjoyed my chocolate cheesecake. The next day, I realized how chocolatey the top layers is tho! I ordered a cappuccino & half of it was foam. I think I will try a regular coffee next time. Just went again this past weekend & they had the tables pushed to the side & not letting anyone sit down (it was after 9pm, so not sure if that was a factor) but I think they should open this up and just let people sit with their own group & space the tables apart. The best part of coming here after dinner is sitting and having coffee & a dessert & just hanging out. -

Tanya’s 5-star review: Lobster bisque-good and hot Clam chowder-same Salmon salad-really good, but maybe we ask if they can make it blackened Crab cake sandwich-really good Sweet potato fries-good Coastal seafood dip-really good Blackened tilapia, mango salsa, mashed potatoes-all good Fried catfish, crispy fries-perfect Stuffed shrimp with seafood sauce-really good, but not jumbo size Fried calamari with fried bell peppers-the sauce is good but not traditional. It's good but the calamari is chewy Sweet tea-sweeet and good Pink lemonade-done well Bread-yeast rolls with butter (but have to ask for) Key lime pie-not key limey enough, not great Strawberry shortcake with ice cream-just fair Service great and seems like a good place to plan a large group meal. -

Tanya’s 5-star review: I really liked this place. The catfish and grits were great and the chicken & waffle too! I try waffles everywhere I go and this is probably one of my favorite. Their syrup is good and the coffee was good (I got hazelnut cream and would try something different next time). The cream cooled off my coffee too much. The reservation ahead of time was perfect for getting a table and the server was nice. The booths have a ton of seating (could probably seat 6) but the tables are too small for 6 people. -

Tanya’s 5-star review: I loved my crab cakes with asparagus and corn relish & the creamy mashed potatoes were awesome (and I don't like most people's mashed potatoes). K liked his Delmonico steak (8.5/10 which is a winner to him), but we weren't crazy about the 4 cheese macaroni. It tasted like aged cheese or something. The service was phenomenal! Our server, Genesis, even brought us hot washcloths that she added eucalyptus to and was pleased when I recognized the scent. She told us about the Sunday buffet brunch, so we'll have to check it out. It was easy to get a reservation on Opentable, but I had to save my apple pay to hold the reservation. The ambiance is romantic and I really enjoyed the overall experience. The meal for 2 was over $100 so it's not an every week thing; however, we will add this to our list!
