Since October 2020, Kingston's streetscapes and reserves have come alive with the outdoor dining options on offer.
Kingston's outdoor dining options have included:
Footpath trading
Expanded footpath trading
Parklets
Outdoor dining pop ups
Expanded outdoor dining
The permits for parklets, outdoor dining pop ups and expanded outdoor dining are due to expire on 30 June 2021.
Businesses can continue to apply for and activate footpath trading and expanded footpath trading year-round.

Council is currently exploring options for beyond June 2021 and is seeking feedback from the community on how outdoor dining was rolled out, how you used it and how you'd like it continued into the future.

As part of its ongoing commitment to support local hospitality businesses, Kingston Council will continue to waive the costs for approved Outdoor Dining and Footpath Trading permits and Dining Pop-Up Licences, until 30 November 2021.
