The new ExpressJet Airlines was created when Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc., acquired ExpressJet Airlines in Nov. 2010. The two achieved Single Operating Certificate status from the FAA on Nov. 18, 2011 and now operate as a single carrier.
