To develop, plan, layout, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal or extruded parts and assemblies for all types of aircraft, and/or special projects. This hands-on position is responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting aircraft airframe and structures systems, composites, and components.
Key Responsibilities
Support structural repair and modification projects
Interpret and read aircraft blueprints/modification drawings

Follow all policies and procedures including the Quality Control Manual for Elliott Aviation.

The Sheet Metal Fabricator runs and creates the components that go into small and large scale HVAC products. Fabricators, are similar to assemblers, and might work on putting together one set of components or work on the finished product. This is done by hand with parts fabricated from machines in the production area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate all fabrication equipment: Press Brakes, Turrets, Shear and Notcher & ACIES Laser/Material Load/Unloader.
Provide quality fabricated metal products
Maintain all safety devices and personal protective equipment for set up/fabrication area
Ability to read Blueprints and follow set ups instructions of specific jobs

The area is free from oils and other disagreeable elements. Certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, gloves, and mandatory hearing protection. Safety glasses and closed toed and closed heel shoes are required in all manufacturing areas.
