Systemic bullying at this school and others in the district is a real problem. Administrators say they'll take care of it and they do absolutely nothing. If you want to send your kid to a school that looks the other way when kids are making pornographic deep fakes, or when groups of boys are involved in incidents where they gang up on one girl, or where kids can basically do whatever they want if they have the right parents, this is a great choice. If you want to send your kid to a school where they feel safe and seen and heard, you may want to consider other options.

My children have all received the most incredible support and have all improved with grades and education since being able to attend BHUSD.
I can't say enough about SPED teachers, my they have been so wonderful!!
I will be eternally grateful to BHHS
My son struggled for a long time with his academics , That is why we moved to BH school district
It has been a struggle to stay
here because it is expensive to live in this school district . I believe my children will have a bright future thanks to BHHS .Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Alex T.Los Angeles, United States041Feb 29, 2024
It's a high school .... Can't really say much more about that.... It had good teacher and good sport teams ( at least when I was a student there)

Good school, could be better. They really help kids who struggle in school with the IEP system and they have a great support system and college counseling center. Barely any funding goes to the football team and I really wish there was a better dress code. I think they have been under construction for 10 years now. I'm guessing a lot of the schools money went to court to battle the metro system, which was an obvious loss from the beginning.

The main positive quality this school has is it's name, "Beverly Hills." The school is not terrible, but it is definitely not amazing.
Half of the school, yes half, or possibly more than half of the school is under construction. It doesn't sound too bad, but it truly impacts the daily routine of the students. Constantly, people can walk around the school to be greeted by the construction workers, noise, and smells. Honestly, it may seem more like a construction site than a school. If you try to find the "front" of the school, you'd probably be confused doing so because that is the main portion of the campus under construction, closed off by a metal fence.
The school is not organized. There is no central area for students to gather, and there is no grass on campus other than the football field. Even the softball field is closed off due to construction.
The school has implemented a one to one technology program, but it is not effective whatsoever. Only some students get laptops, sophomores and seniors, which means they can not actually be used in classes that have students of different grades in them, as some students would be forced to bring in their own electronics, which works against the goal of the program.
The sports teams are not very successful, so the school is mainly focused on education. This may hurt students who want a quality mix of education, the arts, and sports in their curriculum. The dance room, for example, needs an upgrade and does not have a working air conditioner. The theatre used for play productions and musicals is under construction as well!
Basically, this school might get better after years of construction are complete, but for now, it is a pretty disorganized and confusing school... or should I say construction site?
It may be best to go to a different school until construction is complete, for those seeking a well rounded mix of a social and communal campus aspect, academics, sports, and the arts.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Sergio R.Los Angeles, United States031Aug 14, 2021

I posted the pics to show the disgusting situation... ok upon arriving early for our swim class (first one soon as it opens) I expected the doors to be closed due to them opening at 10(same time as our class) , no problem at all expected it. But when 10 rolls by and it's about 5-10 min with about 20-30 paying customers most with multiple same children in a packed cramped parking lot , are all wondering the same thing (what is taking forever is class cancelled . Patiently we wait while the door is opened by staff with the info of they need us to wait outside to clear a safe path into pool area? We wait until the very slow moving staff shuffle there feet to set pool up for operations . We won't detail that but believe me it was saddening seeing the effort put into our children ( our future) . So the class supposed to begin at 10 is now 10:20 before we are allowed get in for our parent child lesson (usually 25 min total ) we get two girls who seemed untrained in water safety instruction classes. When the class can hear u brainstorming with each other on "what should we have them do next?" FYI looks unprofessional and been thrown together on the fly. People notice. About 10 min into the lesson my child needed to use the potty , by the three min it took to walk to and from our potty break the lesson was already being told to leave the water . I wasn't the only parent unhappy with that we had been given a less than sincere apology about the inconvenience. This is two weeks of the same inconvenience of staff being late and classes not running the full 25 min we are paying for . Our loss though right! No make up or making up by letting class run late, nobody used the area after we had been told there was another class so we couldn't practice on our own either . This need to be addressed. Oh p.s after all that wonderful stuff had occurred I go to get dressed in the bathroom . While in the stall putting on my clothes just then squish ....... o really what did I step in (mind you, as of this moment the pool area had been open not even a full hour ) back to the mystery squish . It was poop world someone shit on the floor and just walked away. Thanks fellow American hope your day turns out as shitty as mine began pics are there check it out .

Class of 91!! Go Normans!!
As a BHHS alumni, I can tell you how amazing my experience was while attending and how unique and special the school is, but then that would be such an understatement. This school is so much more than just that. It's not just a great school because of location, but because there's so much history here. Excellent teachers, faculty and programs. Amazing counselors, coaches, curriculum and courts (tennis, ha!) Oh and the grounds! Beauuuutiful! I see they've added more fields, but the main ones are still the football field and track closest to Olympic and the indoor basketball gym/ olympic size pool combo close to the field. Next to the gym are the gated tennis courts.
I'm leaving so much out and wish I could recall every little detail that makes BHHS so great. I can't forget to include the planetarium! I was floored when I walked in for the first time with my science teacher (Mr. Memmer!) and got to see the stars, space, earth all in the glorious pitch black dark confines of the planetarium. Simply wonderful memories!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Shahriar D.Beverly Hills, United States5605840Jan 25, 2017
