Definitely the number one dim sum in Edmonton! I like the vibe and atmosphere, the customer service is always great and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and really hard to stop ordering! Haha
I highly recommend this restaurant!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0Jun 3, 2018Previous reviewI've gone to this place many times for the last three years mostly for brunch. Before I get to details, I should mention if you are not mentally ready and you feel cranky, probably it's not the best place to go because it's very noisy and it's very chaotic.
Also if you're counting calories or you're looking for healthy food, maybe this is not the best place.
The food is really delicious and so far I have enjoyed my experiences. The staff is pretty helpful and it seems they have come up with a good efficient system to be able to function in that chaotic environment.
The price is reasonable and acceptable too.
One of the other thing to keep in mind is: you probably start to regret going there about half an hour after your visit if you eat as much as do!
Overall it's a good place to go to and a very interesting experience. - May 19, 2024Updated review
Haven't been to Jumbo in years. They still push the carts for dim sum (11:00am-2:45pm weekdays, 10:00am-2:45pm weekends). The same carts kept on coming around; extremely limited selection with dishes in the $6.75-$9.95 price range.
- 4x Tea ($1.00 each) - make sure to check your bill. They were going to charge kids/babies for tea.
- Ha gao
- Shumai
- Steamed jumbo shrimp rice roll
- Steamed curry squid
- Steamed sticky rice
- Deep fried sesame balls with red bean paste
- Stir fried wide rice noodles with beef ($18.95)
- Singapore fried rice vermicelli ($18.95)
Subpar dim sum, noodle lunch specials were even less memorable. Wouldn't come back anytime soon. 2.5 stars.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 28, 2013Previous reviewWent to Jumbo on an early Sunday morning to get some dim sum with the family. Wow, I think it's been at least 10 years since I've been here last and that trend will probably continue.
If your looking to get your dim sum fix on the west side, there's not much selection (Jumbo and the only other one I can think of is Cha for Tea). Place was pretty busy and lots of non-asian people were eating. Never a good sign...
Anyways, for food, we ordered the typical dim sum dishes (ha gow, siu mai, wu ta go, ha cheung, jouk, lo mei fun, cha siu bao, and a couple other dishes). Like someone said below, our overall impression was not bad but not great. Mediocre food would sum it up best. My grandma and mom found a lot of the dishes to be too salty.
Price was pretty reasonable for 6 of us. The total was about $63 before tax (most of the dishes range between $3.75 - $4.75). Guess with the limited options available for dim sum in Edmonton, you can't be picky but we weren't impressed. - Sep 19, 2023Updated review

Jumbo is a satisfactory dim sum designation with more westernized/fusion dim sum items. I would rate my overall experience at 7.5/10. Highlights:
- Dimsum: Bamboo shoot roll, Beef meatball, DessertHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 1, 2019Previous reviewI used to come here a lot. Some of the notable mentions are the bamboo shoot roll, beef meatball, desserts, and kebabs.

Visited this place for dimsum a few times and here's what I noticed:
The food is mediocre but nothing special, and always lukewarm. The same dishes are pushed around 3-4 times. Maybe they just want us to finish their leftovers and eventually customers will eat it because there's nothing new coming out from the kitchen and everyone is hungry.
The hostess let her friends skip the line - which happens but don't make it so obvious and in the middle of lunch rush with a line out the door.
The cleaning staff takes empty dishes off the table while we are eating which is fine. But please don't touch my food and rearrange my plates. You just touched the garbage bin and now my food. Cross contamination 101.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - J K.La Quinta, United States0180Jan 8, 2025

No delivery!!! Very short temper. Non-cool phone message. Ridiculous, will never order from here again.

So this place makes me happy because they have the carts going around where you can choose the food. This is my first time here. Not much to look at interior wise, but clean. Service is curt but quick which is generally the norm for Dim Sum restaurants. We went with friends and chose fairly safe options that were Western in nature. Whe we go next time, we will choose more adventurous items. We decided on fried rice, Shanghai noodles, shrimp with veggies, shrimp dumplings, a beef dish, and a dessert. Nothing stoodout for being the best or worse of what we got. What I can say is that everything came out fresh and properly cooked. We enjoyed our meal and it was pretty quick for dishes to come around. I would like to come back and try some more less familar dishes.

So happy carts are back & this time there are signs on the side so you can see what's heading your way before it gets to your table. We've been going for years and went back recently for the first time since covid. Dishes were fresh and hot, but we did notice the prices have gone up quite a bit.
