Having never visited Nordik before, I wasn't sure what to expect compared to my previous spa experiences. The moment I arrived, I knew I couldn't wait to come back. While it is a bit pricier than other spas in the region, the value is undeniable. The spa is much larger, robes are complimentary, and thoughtful touches--like using your bracelet to pay at bars and restaurants--make the experience seamless and enjoyable. The price difference is more than justified! The spa's size alone is impressive; it would take at least a full day to fully enjoy all its offerings, which is a perfect excuse for another visit. The food, beverages, and overall service were fantastic. Highly recommended!

If you are in Ottawa you need to come visit this Spa! One of the best experience we have had as a couple! The experience is unique and is worth experiencing at least once in your life!
We booked this spa months in advance and highly recommend doing so given the fact that this spa books up quickly.
We spent the entire day here and arrived at 9am. We had 2 massages scheduled and a mud face mask also scheduled. The massages were very relaxing with the perfect amount of pressure and relaxation applied.
They also had multiple pools that were warm and relaxing. The only downfall as other reviewers have suggested, is that I feel that this place is packed. There were several pools, especially the later it gets in the day, where there was no room to stand in or get into the pools given how many people there were. Hopefully the facility works on this, so the experience will be more relaxing for the guest. But aside from this there are multiple pools, spa's and saunas to go too. Dont worry if it's cold, we went when it was 10 degrees and snowing and we still had a great time in the warm pools. The snow made the experience even more magical.
The location also has multiple restaurants to dine from and the food is delicious, a little pricey but highly worth it.
Thus overall, great experience, the food, the pools and the staff were all very attentive and welcoming. Very clean, and other guests were polite. I cant wait to return here, it is definitely the experience if you have never done this before. Very memorable.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gladys C.Ottawa, Canada387236465Aug 12, 2023
I love coming to Nordik! However, I recently came for the first time in summer and the hot pools didn't feel that hot. It feels way hotter in the winter and early spring! Some of the pools felt a bit lukewarm to me in the hot sun. In summer, the cold pools actually feel way more refreshing.
I love the rituals, and the food is delicious and well priced too for it being inside a spa.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 4, 2023
I love this place! Such an amazing spa. I was able to make a reservation for the thermal spa experience online and showed up at my selected time slot. It was easy to check in and get my wristband to pay for drinks and foods at the spa. You get assigned a locker and you have access to it the entire time. I love all the hot tubs, saunas and steam room. I went in November and it was snowing on and off but it was not a problem at all. The drinks were delicious and I love the fact you can bring your drinks everywhere.

Highly recommend. We go here every year and when people visit we take them here for a day. I've gone 1-3x a year for 13 years now. It's very relaxing. The restaurant has good food. The kalla pool is my favorite place here and worth the extra money to use. The admission is reasonable for the day. They keep adding and growing the spa. It's unique and located in a quiet area in gatineau park. I'm planning my bachelorette party here in the future. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It's just so serene.
My only recommendation is more seating or larger seating at the tapas restaurant. There is never any seating here available and you can wait hours to get a seat. I'm a bit disappointed they never finished the mudd room. I've been waiting for this to open but they abandoned the project.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Abby J.NJ, NJ073Oct 14, 2024

What can go wrong visiting a outdoor Nordic spa in Quebec Canada? Nothing. It's serene and amazing and beautiful and relaxing. This place does not disappoint! They have pools of all temperatures, spas of all scents and smells, and pure relaxation. The drinks are well made and the food is thoughtful. I love the new locker and wristband system for east convenience and they have salt scrub showers which are awesome. Highly recommended!

BEWARE $504 FINE.
If you're an Ontario driver like me who's forgotten to renew their vehicle's licence plate, be advised that municipal officers in Old Chelsea are eager to welcome you with a $504 fine.
They scour parking lots, scanning Ontario plates, preying on their guests! Nordik Spa is fully aware that this happening in their parking lot but do very little to warn you. You have to search deeply their website to find the weakest of warnings.
My advice, find somewhere else to go. I'm not going back. I wonder, what other money making schemes they are dreaming up?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cherushi P.Ottawa, Canada178Jun 30, 2022
THE FOOD:
Tried the salmon dip for the first time and was blown away at how good it was! In the dip, there was mustard caviar which complimented the salmon and fresh, toasted French baguette. Tried two entrees: the four-cheese ravioli and the classic burger. Both were cooked to perfection, and these were paired with a Prosecco rose and a white cosmo, topped with three cranberries and a lime. The only thing I think could've been done differently would be to add more ravioli to the ravioli dish. As it's one of the most expensive options on the menu I was expecting a little more raviolis, but what I did have were 10/10.
THE AMBIANCE / SPA:
The ambiance was great. Once you walk in you notice the amazing aroma from the essential oils being blown through the building. I really liked that our wrist band opened up our lockers with a little tap, where we then found out robes and towels in there. The waitstaff were very sweet and accommodating, especially one named Shagayo. She was an absolute angel! Helped us find where the massage room was when we got lost trying to find it and told us about all the other great amenities we should check out! Super helpful.
I got the Intensive massage, done by the amazing Mario Carrière. He was able to work out many of the knots in my back, using a scented massage oil. I had the option of lavender or eucalyptus though I ended up choosing lavender. I felt so relaxed and comfortable. The intensive massage is no joke, it really is INTENSIVE. Not for the sensitive folks out there. The massage lasted for an hour, which in that time we worked through my entire body. As a queer person that no longer shaves their legs I was pretty nervous about going into the massage but it was no problem at all. After the massage I told Mario that I felt like a limp noodle which I'm sure is the end goal here. I definitely would love to go back to my new favourite masseuse!
The THERMAL CYCLE incentive is great, my favourite part was the cold waterfalls. I think I enjoyed the cold water more than I enjoyed the hot tubs because of the exhilaration you get when you stand underneath them. I recommend everyone to dunk their body in the cold water before moving on to the hot tubs! The saunas were great to say the least. There was one sauna where you went in for 10-15 minutes, sweat everything out, get out and rub mint or lavender bath salts all over your body to exfoliate. You then could stand under a bucket of warm water and pour it on top of your head, or you could use a shower head. I chose the bucket and loved that experience more.
There are parts of the spa that are quiet/silent areas, less people occupy those areas but that's the BEST part! It has everything that the open non-quiet areas have but talking is restricted. Loved it. There's a few infinity pools here and there, fun cocktail bars and amazing views at the Panorama Lounge area. All drinks are premium quality and worth the price. Ask the workers about special events happening in some of the saunas as there are performers that perform at different hours using ice, towels, afrobeats/binaural sounds and air movement. I don't think I could properly describe the of the experience, you'll just have to try it out for yourself ;)
OVERALL, 10/10 love this place. Felt great to relax for a day after being in a pandemic for so long. Definitely recommend! Thank you Nordik for providing such amazing vibes. :-)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - MFlanagan F.New York, NY2201Oct 1, 2023
This place is the perfect spa to recharge and relax. We live in New York. I have told so many people about what a great experience we had. We would fly there again and spend the day. Loved every minute.
