The Vig Uptown is a good place for lunch or dinner and I would definitely recommend it. I've had a few meals here lately and the food never disappoints. I especially recommend posole because it's really good and there's a lot of it so you will take some home.

The service has always been excellent. Very attentive waiters and waitresses.

The thing that kind of surprised us is the prices. I think restaurant prices are really changing and going up because of all the extra expenses and labor shortages since COVID. However we were surprised to pay $15 for 3 Street tacos. Even the vegetarian ones are sold at this price. It would not dissuade me from coming to this restaurant but I was just surprised.

I was told my blt would take 30 minutes to make. I pick it up 30 minutes later and it's completely soggy, burnt bacon, and the fries are cold. Horrible customer service from start to finish. They answer the phone saying "hello" so not too sure if you're calling a business or someone's house

The atmosphere is the Vig is more modern and green. The service is excellent because there is someone always there to assist you. To adapt to CDC guidelines, all staff wears masks and the seating is spread out.

The food was delicious, the burger I got ( The Vig) was to die for. The sauce on the burger was delicious and the bit of the Turkey Club I got to try was also delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant because of its price along with the quality of the meals.

We started off with the Charcuterie Board which had a, "handpicked selection of meats, cheese, fruits, nuts, crostini" ($17). There was brie, almonds, strawberries, grapes, prosciutto, and more.

Then we had the Classic Burger, "lettuce, tomato, onion, american cheese, secret sauce, brioche bun" ($13) and the Crispy Chicken sandwich "buttermilk fried chicken, american cheese, jalapeños, pickles, and smoked honey mustard on ciabatta" ($14). They were both okay but nothing spectacular.

We finished off with the Gingerbread Cake, "pumpkin mousse, pecan crumble, sugared cranberries, molasses caramel" ($10). Again nothing mind blowing but it was decent.

Everything food wise was missing that punch. I have a feeling most of the grand reviews are about their brunch, not dinner.

However, although the food was nothing incredible the ambiance and service was. As the sun set the light flooded in filtered by the stained glass windows which was lovely, my friend managed to catch it in a photo. During that hour, the place lit up beautifully. Also, there is architecturally a lot of texture throughout which added to the creative atmosphere.

The Vig Uptown has large comfy booths inside and comfortable shaded patio seating outside. Service is excellent. We had lunch here on a Tuesday and it was really quiet. We ordered blackened halibut tacos, and southwest chopped salad along with sweet potato fries to share. The tacos (3 in the order) were delicious. The halibut was perfectly seasoned and it was very tender and juicy. The sweet potato fries were also delicious. It came with simple ketchup and curry sauce. The salad was fresh but it had tad too much dressing. I recommend asking for the dressing on the side. Enjoy!

Oh the Vig, what Phoenetian has not been to the Vig? If you're reading this and the answer is "I haven't been to The Vig!" then step away from the computer, enter your vehicle; be it sneakers, sandals, or moon shoes, and get to the Vig. You'll especially want to follow these simple directions if it's the weekend during brunch hours or Mondays for their $5 burgers after 6pm, weekdays between 3-6pm for happy hour, or just about any other time.

The weekend brunch and those Bloody Mary's, the Bloody Mary bar; for me, please hold the bloody and bring only the Mary. For those of us, I know there's more than just me out there, who don't particularly enjoy the tomato juice, this is a build it yourself sort of Bloody Mary bar. For a cool $4 they'll bring you a glass of Titos vodka on ice and send you on your way to the Bloody Mary bar. Top yours with things like bacon, asparagus, meat balls, celery, and a host of other ingredients, it's almost a meal to itself; but for my Bloody Mary, and again, hold the bloody, I'll take just a few of those limes please!

Ahh the chorizo burro, the dish I just can't stop ordering, and just for fun, I deconstruct it by asking for the tortilla on the side. I'd like to tell you that I don't finish that tortilla, every time, though that's always my intention. I'd also like to tell you the sky is green and it's always cold in Phoenix Arizona. I'd like to say a lot of things but they just wouldn't be true, and you, my friends, deserve nothing but the truth. It's always delicious, it's always satisfying, and they've always got cool music playing during Sunday brunch.

So go and get it Phoenix weekend brunchers. If you're still debating on partaking in their delightful weekend meals, I say, why wait?, carpe diem, eat brunch!

      Happy yelping!

I've been many times. I live close by. Tonight was just craving a steak salad. Husband and I said.. The Vig. Honestly... best service EVER!! I love to " play" with my server. And Justin.. was phenomenal!! Funny.. and informative!!
Ordered a Caesar salad with flat iron steak. Husband.. burger. Great drinks... oh and Justin was the bartender too. A man of many hats.
This is why you will always be on my go to place. Consistency. Perfection.
Thanks Vig... glad you are in my hood... glad you are always top notch!!

I am a big fan of The Vig locations, but this might just be my favorite. There's lawn dice, cornhole, and bocci available in the back. It's enclosed which is nice in the summer to cool off and hang out.

Ambiance is on par for the brand, very cool and chill vibe. I like the decor. It's a place where you can actually enjoy and doesn't make you want to leave as soon as you're done eating.

Drink selection is good, they have some awesome signature cocktails and great beer selection. The menu has a nice variety and has something for everyone.

On this particular visit where were six of us. I love the slider trifecta (that pretzel bun tho) and their tacos (both fish and short rib) but I decided to go with the poke bowl this time. Others at the table ordered the Mac n cheese, Pad Thai and Cobb salad and all enjoyed their dishes.

The poke bowl comes with tuna and lots of veggies/lettuce. I had a more salad vibe than poke bowl but it was delicious. Light and flavorful. I'd recommend if you don't want something so heavy but don't want a basic salad.

Our waitress was super nice and chill. Didn't make us feel rushed but checked in often. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Valet parking available during dinner time, make sure to have some cash to tip. Just another great meal! I highly recommend.

We love the Vig, never been to the Uptown location so we decided to stop here before the M3Fest on Saturday. Switched it up and ate at the bar and the bartender was super helpful and nice, forgot her name but she worked there Saturday around 2:30pm.

You have to try the SHORT RIB MELT!! To die for!
Red wine braised short ribs, caramelized red onion, white cheddar, toasted sourdough for $14 and it's worth every penny! The flavors are spectacular.

Would for SURE visit this location again, awesome energy and vibe!

Short rib sandwich with a side of onion rings, SO DELICIOUS!

Do you like turkey? Have the turkey sandwich; it's incredible! There's a secret ingredient that makes this entree heavenly. Maybe it is the coleslaw that adds a crunchy sensation to the sandwich. Maybe it is the yummy cranberry chutney that is spread on. Maybe it's the turkey that my waiter said was leftover from his turkey Thanksgiving (yes, he said that jokingly). Maybe it is the pretzel bun (I swore I'd never eat another one but this one didn't swell in my stomach making me cry for three days--nope, not this time). What a great combination of flavors!

I prefer my Brussels sprouts steamed,, rather than roasted. They were good, just not my love.

Our waiter was clever and attentive.

      Great place to have dinner!
