Pros:
Hot spicy boil medium to large crawfish
Reasonable price
Wait time in and out (Do not go between 5pm-6pm store peak time.)
Cons:
Salty (but had a great taste.)
Overcooked (could have been day before crawfish reboiled.)
Overall, the crawfish was not bad.
I always purchase Winn Dixie crawfish, first time salty.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Marielle S.New Orleans, LA19922997280Oct 24, 2017
This is pretty much just a review of their beer selection.
We stopped in here on our way to a Chalmette-style bbq and I wanted to pick up my own beer because I don't like being a beer-mooch in these situations. Thankfully, Winn Dixie was close by and had just what I was looking for. I was pretty impressed with their beer selection as a whole, but I really liked that they had a wide selection of local beers including Port Orleans, Second Line and Urban South. They also had some Ghost in the Machine, if that's your thing. The beers were reasonably priced and around the same price as I've seen at other grocery stores, so this is a good place to visit if you're in the market for good brews.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Nola G.New Orleans, LA07718Apr 5, 2020
Nasty store! During this Coronavirus season, you would think extra care would have been into effect. I had to ask a customer behind me at the check out line to please step back--he was coughing! No tape or signage asking customers to space out--stand 6 feet back from one another. The lines were long--everyone was pretty much rubbing elbows--with only 4 registers open. Not a manager in site. The parking was littered with face mask and latex gloves.

This store does not enforce mask wearing. Every other customer had their damned noses hanging out, like a virus isn't going to go in or out that way. One fellow wasn't wearing a mask at all and was purchasing items right in front of the sign saying "Masks must be worn". This store doesn't care about your life.

This is a good neighborhood grocery store. Their selection of items is a bit smaller than you'd expect but then again, it is a much smaller store too. The employees are generally pretty nice, the cashiers are as well. I would love to see a bigger selection of non-GMO and Organic items but I think the demographic of the area doesn't call for it so maybe that's why they don't sell those kinds of items. I shop sales here and get some other items from a few other neighborhood stores. All in all, a good grocery store to shop at.

This Winn Dixie will have you leaving unhappy every time you shop. It matters not what time you shop or what day, YOU WILL WAIT. Wait in line and then wait some more. Even if you go in a half hour before closing they got that, your gonna wait. Need some liquor from behind the service desk, ciggs maybe? Well my friend you are double screwed. The only people slower than the cashiers are the people you will find behind the service counter. Before you can gaze in awe at just how slow they are you will need to do some jumping jacks just to be acknowledged here, they clearly don't like being hassled by customers at the Customer Service Counter. One final thought, if your a dude and find yourself in need of a restroom do yourself a favor and just walk out back, there are cleaner ones in the Quarter.

Nice sore there is only one thing I hate about this place. I usually buy lottery tickets with several drawings in the same ticket. It is very disappointing that the lady on the site doesn't know how how to select more than one drawing.

Everything is always in stock and the employees are friendly. Almost every time I've been each lane has been open, unlike Wal-Mart. The times I've seen the lines moving slow has been the customer's fault cause some of them act like they never been grocery shopping before and dilly dally the whole time.
