코닥빌딩 9는 캐나다 온타리오 주 토론토있는 코닥 마운트 데니스 캠퍼스의 직원들을 위한 레크리에이션 센터였다.

역사

1939년에 지어진 9번 빌딩은 1940년부터 2006년까지 이스트맨 코닥 컴퍼니에 의해 운영되었는데, 이때 이스트맨 코닥 컴퍼니가 캠퍼스 운영을 중단하였다.[1][2][3] 캠퍼스 안에 서 있는 유일한 건물로 나머지 15개 건물은 철거됐다.[1][2]

그 건물은 체육관/감사관, 카페테리아, 웨이트 룸, 체인지 룸을 갖춘 직원들을 위한 오락 및 오락 시설이었다. 사진 애호가들을 위한 암실이 있었다. 지하실에는 직원 교육을 위해 사용되는 몇 개의 회의실이 있었다.[1]

포기 및 재사용

그 건물은 버려진 후 심하게 파손되었다. 보존을 위해 국가사적지위치로 격상하자는 제안이 나왔고, 지역 주민들은 공공 휴양용으로 사용할 것을 요청했다.[4][5][6][7] 온타리오 사진 박물관의 피터 가트는 이 건물이 박물관의 새로운 집이 될 것을 요청했다.[4]

2013년, 캠퍼스마운트 데니스 지하철역과 버스 터미널이 되기 위해 메트로린x에 의해 매입되었다. 본층은 역 출입구가 되고, 위 3층은 향후 사용을 위해 예약될 예정이다.[8]

2016년 8월 LRT역 공사를 위해 임시 부지로 건물을 이전했다.[9] 2017년 11월 다시 원래 위치로 이동했다.
