흔히 레누아라고 불리는 레누아 아일랜드는 아일랜드의 정당이다. 파티는 2015년 3월 13일에 시작되었으며, 전 파인 가엘 TD 루신다 크리톤이 창립 대표를 맡았다.[14] 론칭하기 전에는 Reboot Areland라는 슬로건을 사용했었다. 르누아라는 이름은 영어 리뉴얼과 아일랜드어 레 누아 "새로운 시대"를 모두 제안하기 위한 것이다.[15] 2016년 총선 이후 크레이튼의 사퇴로 생긴 공석에 이어 2016년 9월 존 리히가 당 AGM의 대표로 선출됐다. 이어 리히 의원은 지방선거에서 당의 부진한 성적에 따라 2019년 6월 당 대표직과 당에서 물러났다. 그 당에는 선출된 대표가 없다.[16]

레누아 아일랜드의 건국

레누아 아일랜드의 첫 번째 선거 후보는 2015년 5월 22일 카를로-킬케니 보궐선거에서 패트릭 맥키였다.[28][29] 그는 1차 투표에서 9.5%의 득표율로 4위를 차지했다.[30][31]

2016년 총선

이 당은 2016년 총선에서 50~60명의 후보가 출마하기를 바랐으며, 각 다일 선거구에 최소 1명이 출마했다.[35][36]

레누아는 2016년 1월 후보 18명의 명단을 발표하고 성명서를 발표했다.[37][38] 성명서의 주요 내용에는 [39]23%의 고정 개인세율과 중대범죄에 대한 3심 판결에 대해 종신형을 의무적으로 선고하도록 하는 3파업법 등이 포함됐다.[40] 고정세율은 피아나 파일과 파인 가엘이 비판했고, 노동당 케빈 험프리스 의원은 "도널드 트럼프에게 너무 우파"라고 묘사했다.[39]

공천 마감 당시 2016년 총선에는 26명의 후보가 입후보했다.[41]

2016년 총선에서 현직 TD인 빌리 팀민스, 테렌스 플래너건, 당 대표인 루신다 크리톤이 모두 의원직을 상실해 레누아는 다일 의원직을 상실했다.[42] 그럼에도 불구하고, 한국당은 1차 투표에서 2%를 넘게 득표했고, 이것은 다음 정부 기간 동안 연간 25만 유로의 국비 지원을 받을 자격이 있다는 것을 의미한다.[43] 패전 후 크리톤은 레누아가 계속돼 2019년 다음 지방선거에 후보를 낼 것이라고 주장했다.[44]

여파

2016년 5월 14일, 총선의 여파로 새 정부 구성에 따라 크리톤은 레누아 당수직을 사임했다.[45] 빌리 팀민스 부대표는 이미 사퇴했고 [46]에디 홉스 총재는 6월 당에서 물러났다.[47]

2016년 9월 당 AGM에서는 존 레이히 오팔리 카운티 의원이 당 대표로 선출됐고, 비즈니스우먼 메일로 파워가 당 대표로 선출됐다.[48] 2016년 11월 파워는 당 총재직과 당에서 물러났다. 2016년 12월까지 패트릭 맥키 의원과 키스 레드몬드 의원은 모두 당 대표 존 레이히를 탈당하고, 로난 맥마흔 남더블린 카운티 의회 의원을 유일한 선출직 대의원으로 선출했다. 맥마흔도 그 후 사임했다.

리히 의원은 2017년 11월 툴라모어에서 열린 제2차 AGM에서 프란체스 피츠제럴드에 대한 불신임 다일 총선이 임박하면서 촉발된 총선에서 17명의 후보를 낼 준비가 돼 있다고 말했다.[49] 2017년 AGM은 존 워터스(John Waters)[50]가 연설했다.

레누아의 창립 멤버 중 두 명은 후에 파인 가엘에 다시 합류했다. 빌리 팀민스는 2019년 위클로우에서 2020년 총선 후보로, 테렌스 플래너건은 2019년 선거에서 더블린 시의회에 당선됐다.[51][52]

로사 파크스 논란

레누아는 공식 트위터를 통해 시민권 운동의 중요한 사건으로 여겨지는 1955년 로사 파크스 사건, 즉 몽고메리 버스 보이콧이 "진행 중인 캠페인의 일환으로 구속됐다" "박씨는 '훈련받은 운동가'라는 견해를 밝혀 논란을 일으켰다. 이런 주장이 나온 트윗은 이후 당이 소셜미디어에 대한 반발을 받은 뒤 삭제됐다.[53][54] 존 레이는 이후 트윗이 삭제된 것에 대해 유감을 표했다.[54]

2020년 총선

한국당은 2월 2020년 총선에서 11명의 후보를 냈다.[56][57] 후보자들은 총 5,473표(0.3%)를 받았으며, 당선자는 한 명도 없었다.

공직자위원회규격

2020년 11월 공직선거관리위원회 기준(SIPO)은 레누아가 법적 의무를 위반해 2019년 회계감사를 받지 못한 5개 정당 중 하나라고 발표했다.[58] 2021년 초 현재 SIPO는 당에 대해 "아직도 계좌를 제출하지 않았다"고 확인한 것으로 알려졌다.[59]

정책들
