세덤풀셸룸은 과부나무와[1] 과부의 십자가라는 통칭으로 알려진 크라술라과의 꽃식물이다.그것은 미국 중남부와 남동부의 석회암 지역이 원산지이며 평평한 바위 외곽, 특히 삼나무 활엽수에서 발견된다.[2]대부분의 인구는 내륙 저지 고원과 오자크와 와치타 산맥에 있다.[3]
늦봄에 분홍색 흰색의 꽃을 생산한다.[4]가을에는 발아하고 여름에는 죽어가는 겨울의 해이다.[5]
