These beautiful butterfly shadow boxes are the perfect gift or decor piece.

They are made from several layers of painted or pre-coated MDF (7 layers in total) with a string of fairy lights to provide a soft glow.

The dimensions of the butterfly is: 25cm wide; 15.5cm high; 2.2cm deep

They can stand on their own, but if you want to make it a bit more stable, a few pieces of Blu Tack will help to stabalise it further. Alternatively, you could stick it to a wall with some double sided tape.

The batteries that power the lights are 2 x CR2032 button batteries, so please do not leave this in a place where small children could get hold of them. The batteries that come with them are not the greatest, so I also include 2 additional Japanese brand batteries for when the installed ones die.
