Template:Boss Stalblind, introduced in A Link Between Worlds, is the boss of the Thieves' Hideout, and an undead Lorulean counterpart of Blind the Thief. He is the boss of the thieves in Thieves' Town, but does not appear until Link and the Thief Girl reach the entrance of the hideout.[1]

Appearance

Stalblind is a Skeletal, Ghost version of Blind the Thief from A Link to the Past. He carries a large sword and shield, and throughout the battle, he will detach his head and bounce it around the room spewing black poison.

Lair

Stalblind's lair is directly adjacent to the dungeon entrance, but cannot be unlocked until Link returns with the Big Key, obtained with the Thief Girl's help. The lair itself consists of a rectangular platform in a large, sunless room, surrounded by a bottomless pit.

Fight

When Link enters the room where Stalblind resides, He shuts the door, trapping the Thief Girl. Stalblind will rush against him with his sword and shield. Link must wall-merge into the shield, so that Blind becomes confused and tries to look for him, eventually holding his shield behind himself, giving Link an opening to attack. After sustaining enough damage, he will throw away the shield, and attack Link with various powerful slashes. In this phase, he is vulnerable to most weapons in Link's arsenal, but can be hard to hit because of his relentless attacks. In the final phase of the fight, Stalblind's head will detach itself from his body, and attempt to attack Link as the body continues slashing. This makes him more formidable, but a few more slashes will eventually slay the boss. After his defeat, the exit of the dungeon is opened, and the Thief Girl takes Link to a storage house on the outskirts of town, where Stalblind hid the portrait of the Sage, Osfala.
