美国国道41号商业线(英语:Business US Highway 41)是一条曾隶属于国道41号商业线,其起点和终点皆为与28号州道共线的国道41号。该商业线曾作为密歇根州高速干线系统Michigan State Trunkline System)的一部分,并全程与当地两条于19世纪中期马凯特市早期城市规划设立的主要干道华盛顿街(Washington Street)和前街(Front Street)共线。该线于2005年改由马凯特市府管理后除名。

路线简介

国道41号商业线起于华盛顿街与国道41号和28号州道交会处,后者与国道41号共线;除了在国道41号东向车流汇入商业线这一动线设有红绿灯外,其余动线皆使用停止标志管理车流。向东前进一小段后,华盛顿街拓宽成双向四车道并设立一分隔岛直至约300码(270米)后被一左转车道取代。在麦克莱伦大街(McClellan Avenue)的交叉口设有红绿灯,接着是通往马凯特市区的上坡路。华盛顿街在经过市区的几块商业区后与林肯大街(Lincoln Avenue)南端相交并设有号志,在通过路口之后转向东南方;其路便被缩减成双向二车道,但仍在各路口处设有供双向车流使用的的左转车道。经过林肯大街后,华盛顿街开始下坡,其中央左转车道在经过第七街后随着道路宽度变窄而消失。[5][6]

经过位于第七街旁的哈洛公园(Harlow Park)后,该商业线进入市区,伴随着道路两侧的零售店、餐厅等服务业。在华盛顿街和第三街的交叉口处设有一栋包含邮局联邦法院等联邦机构的建物。商业线则在和华盛顿街同为市区商业活动聚集处的前街右转进入前街,其路口位置距离苏必略湖只差一个街区。在经过纪念雅克·马凯特的马凯特神父公园后,前街继续朝西南方前进并开始上坡。该商业线在前街透过马凯特旁道(Marquette Bypass)汇入国道41号处抵达终点。[5][6]

该商业线在由密歇根州运输部Michigan Department of Transportation,MDOT)管理时属于密歇根州高速干线系统的一环;运输部曾出于其职责监控来往国道41号商业线的车流量并计算该商业线的年平均日流量。运输部于2004年测量出该线于林肯街和前街之间的年平均日流量为10272次,为密歇根州高速干线中车流量最少者。该线在麦克莱伦大街和林肯街之间的运量最高,为19036次;前街则平均一天能达16309次的车流量[7]。该商业线并没有被列入国家高速公路系统之中[8]

2005年4月,马凯特市同意由密歇根州运输部将一部分曾由交通部管辖和维护的道路交换给马凯特市管理,其中就包含了国道41号商业线。马凯特市府则将麦克莱伦大街于国道41号以南的路段交由州政府管理以将553号州道延长至马凯特旁道[27]。管理权转移的谈判主要聚焦于密歇根州运输部是否会遵守规范麦克莱伦大道沿线车道和雪地摩托通道的相关城市分区条例和马凯特市政府可能需要承担国道41号商业线的相关费用和责任[28]。该协议在经过运输部和马凯特市政府批准后于2005年10月10日生效[4],美国国道41号商业线因此走入历史;尽管有些当地地图仍在除名多年后将通往马凯特市区的道路标注为国道41号商业线[29][30]且当地仍有许多公司行号在行销时使用该路名[a],商业线的相关路标已于2005年11月9日全数拆除[2]

纵然马凯特市府仍需维护国道41号上的号志灯[27],市府依据上述协议获得价值两百五十万美元的州政府资金(若考虑通货膨胀则相当于2021年的三百四十万美元)以改进当时的华盛顿街:马凯特市府将华盛顿街从林肯街到第七街的路段由双向四车道改为双向二车道和一中央左转车道并重建第五街以西的道路;其速限从原本的35英里每小时(56千米每小时)降至25英里每小时(40千米每小时)以因应出入街道两旁公司的车流[33]。前街和马凯特旁道的交叉口于2010年改为圆环,并于同年8月19日开放。[34]
