2021年12月8日，宣布劇名從《屋中的女子》（The Woman In the House）更改為《窗邊女孩與對街屋中的女子》（The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window）[6]。主演兼執行製作人克莉絲婷·貝爾表示Netflix曾示意要縮短劇名為《屋中的女子》，但是她堅持《窗邊女孩與對街屋中的女子》才能在一句話中概括整個故事的始末與最核心的兩個角色，也才是最符合本劇的劇名[7][8]。

拍攝
