I’m an artist and illustrator based on the beautiful central California coast.

For nearly 30 years I’ve had the pleasure of working with hundreds of creative people in an absurdly diverse range of industries and practices. My drawings are published on a regular basis in the US and have appeared in publications and campaigns around the world.

In addition to illustrating over 50 books, my work has appeared in: magazines, newspapers, interactive media, outdoor billboards, broadcast, print ads, album covers, posters, architectural diagrams, museum wayfinders, instructional diagrams, storyboards, video games, animation, archaeological diagrams, artifact reference, and transportation signage.

In 2005, I received the D&AD Silver Pencil for work with Volkswagen.
In 2018, my work with TED Talks received 5 Telly Awards.

After a short vacation last week, more portraits await.

Devastated at the tremendous loss from the fires in LA. Watching the news constantly, studying the maps, hearing the heartbreaking stories. We got our first house in Altadena, our son was born at Huntington, we have friends there.
