Its associated event was announced on December 20, 2023, and the item was made accessible on January 11, 2024, through Mystery Gift. Unlike most event key items, it can be claimed indefinitely.

The Mythical Pecha Berry grants the player access to The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero's epilogue, Mochi Mayhem, in Kitakami by interacting with a "decoration" at Peachy's in Mossui Town. The item disappears from the Bag once the epilogue has started.
