User-editable US maps
[edit]Return to top. These 2 SVG maps below have user-editable sections (any text editor) to allow creation of more maps on more topics. 2 different methods. Feel free to create map templates for other countries too. User:Cmglee may be able to help with that.
Convert a US list/table to a state-by-state data map. With examples and step-by step instructions. Example: |
Simple map below using another method. See its talk page for info. |
Some more examples below from Category:English-language SVG choropleth maps of the United States made with templates.
Note the Republican states. Maps are good for picking up patterns.

Create more tables and maps
[edit]Wikipedia can use more tables and maps. See Commons: Map resources. And en:Help:Tables and en:Help:Sortable tables. See also: Commons:Chart and graph resources. And: Commons:Convert tables and charts to wiki code or image files. And: Commons:Create charts and graphs online.
Trump's 2017 tax cuts for the rich. |
On average, taxpayers in the income groups highlighted in yellow will incur a net cost (shown as a positive figure as this reduces the budget deficit), due in part to reduced healthcare subsidies. Higher income taxpayers receive a benefit via tax cuts (shown as a negative number as this increases the budget deficit). The percent of taxpayers in each income group is also shown for the 2023 period. "Taxpayer" in the chart refers to a tax return, meaning it could represent one person or a married couple filing jointly, among other options. [1][2]. Commons source. |
Economics 101. And Wikipedia and Commons need more charts
[edit]See: File:Map of US minimum wage by state.svg
I support a neutral point of view (en:WP:NPOV) in Wikipedia articles.
Running an economy is simple. The free market concentrates wealth. So progressive taxation is a necessity. Along with a living minimum wage. If money is constantly recycled, then people have money to spend, the economy works, and unemployment is low. Also, there is less crime, and less spending for police, courts, and prisons. Handguns are unnecessary. Rifles and shotguns are enough, with small magazines. Government spending should be kept to a minimum. So more money goes to individuals to keep the economy running. Exceptions are things such as food stamps, workfare, welfare, family planning, and single-payer universal healthcare. Single-payer universal healthcare is the most efficient. No one should starve or be unhealthy. The planet should not be overpopulated. See related charts and resources:
Chart below is for population growth (actual and projected):
