Railroad Hotel
[edit]Just FYI: Category:Railroad Hotel is a specific building in Massachusetts, hence why I've removed several images that you've sorted into the category. I don't think there's a generic category for railway hotels, but you're welcome to create one! Cheers, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 16:33, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- I appreciate that this is a case of one item having the same name as a much broader category to which is belongs. If it is intended that the Massachusetts "Railroad Hotel" be in a distinct category, shouldn't its category be renamed "Category:Railroad Hotel (West Newton, Massachusetts) and be made a subcategory of Railroad Hotel? There are dozens if not hundreds of historic Railroad Hotels, although the convention Category:Railway Hotel may be preferred. IveGoneAway (talk) 16:45, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- It turns out there is already Category:Railway hotels, which matches enwiki usage, so that should be just fine. The plural and decapitalized version is better anyway. Interestingly, Railroad Hotel is actually not a railway hotel; it was already in existence long before the railroad came along. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 16:54, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- 'K, thanks, searched specifically for that one, missed it somehow. IveGoneAway (talk) 16:59, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
