  • 15:3215:32, 5 May 2020 diff hist +31 Ross Ulbricht Undid revision 955018693 by Lenin and McCarthy (talk) My edits have no denial whatsoever regarding the US Govt perspective on illegality of felony charges and conviction of Ulbricht. What is at issue here is that NPOV requires us to communicate MORE than just this one perspective. We have the obligation to present a complete account for the benefit of the public. Tag: Undo
  • 14:1614:16, 5 May 2020 diff hist +4 Ross Ulbricht Linking to entrepreneur article. If it was possible to gain an historic perspective here, we might be able to see that this is by far the most notable aspect of Ulbricht's actions. He created a business which put Bitcoin on the map. And he did it in a way that was extremely difficult for the government to control. I will suggest that "Libertarian" belongs somewhere here in this lede, as this is the NPOV aspect which contrasts with the Government's perspective on his case.
  • 14:0714:07, 5 May 2020 diff hist −13 Ross Ulbricht The phrase "best known" is used for people who are notable for various things and then one of these things is highlighted. Unless Ulbricht is notable for something other than Silk Road, then this phrase is not applicable. Removed.
  • 13:5813:58, 5 May 2020 diff hist +40 Ross Ulbricht Wikipedia's policy is Npov, not GPOV. This encyclopedia is not here to serve up the Government Point Of View. Notice that the Edward Snowden article does not start by saying he "is a criminal". And the Benedict Arnold article does not start by saying he "was a traitor". Ulbricht is notable for the business he created and ran, and the proper way to present this info is to communicate facts, but NOT to do so as though it was written by the US govt. How ironic that he was born in 1984.
