Cleanup
[edit]I adjusted the description of the character of Draper from "bipolar disorder" to "borderline personality disorder", as the previous description was inaccurate. Bipolar disorder is marked by periods of depression punctuated by episodes of mania (extreme energy, impulsiveness, and ego inflation). Persons with borderline personality disorder have a tendency to idealize and obsess over a particular individual, developing feelings of extreme intimacy almost immediately. When the image of perfection or ideal is shattered they tend to lash out with violence in various forms towards their target and themselves. Somebody should tag this article for cleanup. The long and rambling Character/Plot sections are barely in coherent English.69.181.137.24 (talk) 22:06, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Movie poster
[edit]The original movie poster can be found here if it is decided it should replace the DVD cover. It has creases in the poster however. --Nehrams2020 03:07, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Play misty for me.jpg
[edit]Image:Play misty for me.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:14, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Plot
[edit]The plot section of this article is fairly weak, and mainly talks about things other than the actual plot itself. This needs to be expanded. Milonica (talk) 07:04, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Characters
[edit]Tobie was already aware that Evelyn was Annabelle when Dave phoned to warn her; she discovered it for herself when Evelyn started commenting on David's eyes in the painting, then she notices the scars on Evelyn's wrist. Her eyes then widen in horror as Evelyn delivers her classic line:"God you're dumb".one of the best films ever.jeanne (talk) 16:44, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Bibliography section
[edit]I corrected all of the citations in the article putting them in the correct format. Since the reference list now shows all of the information that is included in the Bibliography section, it seems redundant to keep that section. I attempted to remove the Bibliography section but it was restored and I received a message saying to make sure I specify a reason, which I did (the same reason I just gave). So I'm not sure what has to happen now for it to be removed. DaffyBridge (talk) 00:05, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- Wow, now I just realized that it didn't only undo my removing of the Bibliography section, but it undid all of the work that I did on correctly formatting the citations, even though I did them separately. Can someone help who can change it back rather than having someone do that work all over again? DaffyBridge (talk) 00:09, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
items referenced to "7" and "10" conflict over the budget amount. Is it 50k under the 1 million dollar budget; or did it earn 10 million over its 725,000.00 budget? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.193.108.37 (talk) 22:11, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
Song
[edit]Since the song is such a fundamental element in the film, more attention to the version, artist(s) and soundtrack needs to be featured in this article. -- Brangifer (talk) 18:05, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Inspiration for Fatal Attraction?
[edit]- Not sure if it's on record anywhere, but it's hard to resist the conclusion that this film went some way to inspiring the much later Fatal Attraction. Any thoughts? Hanoi Road (talk) 21:06, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
- AFI says many reviewers have noted the similarity. Muzilon (talk) 23:54, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
