York U and "Law Enforcement"
[edit]I saw you removed that line, and was curious to see how long it had been there. It was first inserted in August 2007 - I can't believe it's been hidden down there for so long! Good catch. -Joshuapaquin (talk) 04:45, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Mark Aiken
[edit]A tag has been placed on Mark Aiken requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Comp25! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Alexander Kuznetsov (actor) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Rick Jones (voice actor) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. In Miguel Ferrer, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Alive (film) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:32, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Wedding reception. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Wikipedia isn't the place for pulling jokes or trying to convince your friends that hard liquor must be served at a wedding reception. WhatamIdoing (talk) 20:36, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
- Why shouldn't I care?
- These pages are read by people all over the world, who (unlike you and me) won't know that it's just someone's idea of a joke instead of how things are done in Western wedding celebrations. Some of our readers will see your fake claim and believe that it's true. I don't want people to believe lies. I hope that you don't either, now that you've had a chance to think about it. WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:41, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
It's not exactly a "fake claim", I believe it's true. I have no intention of vandalizing. You seem to have a lot of passion about wikipedia. Comp25 (talk) 00:26, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Do you really believe that hard liquor must be served at a wedding reception? Even by Mormons and Muslims, who do not drink alcohol for religious reasons? Even by alcoholics in recovery? Even by people who think it tastes nasty? Perhaps you need to consider why you believe such nonsense. WhatamIdoing (talk) 01:11, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
The article Make me a sandwich has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unreferenced stub about a neologism
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ❤ Yutsi Talk/ Contributions ( 偉特 ) 17:28, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Frank Dancevic
[edit]Kako si? Žao sam da ne pričam dobro hrvatski. Are you still involved in the world of Wikipedian diacritics? I remember you as the bloke who moved Frank Dancevic to Frank Dančević. I hate when editors discriminate against diacritics, but it happens a lot here, especially of late. Rovingrobert (talk) 05:51, 23 May 2016 (UTC)

Discretionary sanctions alerts for post -1932 American politics and abortion
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Black Lives Matter, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Specifically, it is clearly not an organization even if it is in some way organized and includes organizations. It's similar to the Civil Rights Movement. And of course there is no mention in the article of Marxisms, that's what we call original research and is forbidden by policy. Doug Weller talk 11:05, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Lila Rose.
