Notice

The article Simone Pacini has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Footballer who fails GNG and NFOOTY. National team caps from the infobox are unsourced and likely false.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:39, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Elita (song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/9457612/gary-barlow-michael-buble-sebastian-yatra-elita. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Greenock125, Onel5969, I've reverted this to the last clean version before the copyvio was added. Greenock125, I find it concerning (to say the least) to need to remove copyvio inserted by an editor with more than 40000 live edits. It raises this important question: do you think that there may also be other pages where you have copy-pasted content from non-free external sources? If so, would you kindly list those pages, right here on your talk-page, so that we can make a start on cleaning them up? Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:43, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Justlettersandnumbers, I gave a last warning for copyvio and removed autopatrolled a few months ago. I think we’re going to need a big cci and a block.... Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 01:02, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I am here to talk about the article: list of awards and nominations received by Jamie Dornan. As I can see you redirected the page in 2017. And I did not know that this article already existed. So without knowing this, I have created a new draft with the same title. I have not submitted that for review yet. So can you kindly help me what can I do. Tell me if you can delete the article that you redirected in 2017. Or can you undo the redirection so that I can create an article here again ditching my own draft. Fitzwilliams (talk) 05:28, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I believe this block is no longer necessary because I understand why I was blocked. I broke copyright rules by copying text directly from websites, I would avoid long quotations from sources. Evading my block after it was imposed by abusing multiple accounts, creating another account, and using multiple IP addresses. I admit continuing to keep editing in 2022, I should not have done that and fully apologize for my actions. I promise this will never happen again, make productive contributions, and abide by all Wikipedia polices. I will tackle the lack of communication by stopping any editing, and when an editor comes into my talk page with a concern, question, or warning, I will comment on it, I will not ignore it and make sure I acknowledged that I have read it. What is copyright? It allows the owner the exclusive rights to use their work. When someone creates an original work, fixed in a tangible medium, they automatically own copyright to the work. How is Wikipedia licenced? All content published on Wikipedia is licensed by the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-SA) and the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia? The database servers for Wikipedia are found in the United States, which means any copyright content published on Wikipedia would infringe US copyright law. Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content? You are allowed to use Non-free content in articles only if the usage of the content is considered in United States copyright law and complies with the criteria for Non-free content.

Decline reason:

You appear to think you are just blocked. You are not. You've been so problematic that you are now considered banned by community consensus. No admin is permitted to unilerally lift the ban. If you wish to be unbanned, follow the procedure at WP:UNBAN. CU data is still, as of 2024-05-20, showing no evidence of evasion (thank you!). Yamla (talk) 21:47, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, I feel like my ban from Wikipedia should be overturned because I have learned my lessons since my ban was imposed. I evaded my ban after it was imposed by abusing multiple accounts, I should not have done that and fully apologize for my actions. I would avoid copying text directly from websites when creating articles and avoid using long quotations. I would stop editing if someone leaves a message in my talk page, I will make sure to respond to the messege or acknowledge that I have read the message. I understand that I was very problematic in the past, I would like to fully apologise for my actions and promise to conduct myself differently in the future if I am allowed to resume editing. Hello Yamla, you said that there is no private information associated with my appeal. What private information do I need to provide that would help me get unbanned from Wikipedia and you said to post my unblock request to my talk page for administrator review, does that mean using {{unblock}} template. Also you said that nobody's asking for private information, on my UTRS appeal when you declined you said, "As you still have access to your talk page, and as there is no private information associated with your appeal, please post your unblock request to your user talk page for administrator review. You can follow the guide at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Guide_to_appealing_blocks." I understand that I have been so problematic in the past, I would really like to prove that I have learned my lessons and help contribute to Wikipedia, thank you. Yamla, I don't know what to do anymore, please any help or advice would be much appreciated, thank you. Greenock125 (talk) 15:24, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Reread WP:UNBAN. This is my last response to you. Don't ping me again. --Yamla (talk) 15:36, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think my ban from Wikipedia should be overturned as I feel I have learned my lessons since my ban was imposed. If I am allowed to resume editing in the future I would avoid breaking copyright violations by not copying text directly from websites and avoid using long quotations especially when creating music articles for singles and albums. If someone leaves a message on my talk page I would respond to the message or acknowledge that I have read the message. Greenock125 (talk) 10:28, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I fully understand why the community consensus is reluctant to unban me from Wikipedia, I fully understand the reasons why, I've been very problematic in the past, not responding to messages on my talk page and not following policies and guidelines especially copyright. And I know this is no excuse but I have Asperger syndrome, which means I have difficulties with communication. I would like to prove that I have learned my lessons from the past and make useful contributions to Wikipedia in the future, thank you. Greenock125 (talk) 10:52, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, it feels like no one is taking my unban appeal seriously and I feel like I'm being ignored. I'm not asking anyone to give me the answers, all I'm asking is for some help with my appeal and what is missing from the appeal. I feel like getting unbanned is impossible. Please any help or advice would be much appreciated, thank you. Greenock125 (talk) 08:07, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, would it be possible to be allowed to edit my Sandbox to prove that I can make useful contributions to Wikipedia and that I learned my lesson on copyright. I was wondering if this could help me get unbanned, thank you. Greenock125 (talk) 08:40, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:FosterthePeople(EP).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Modifying requests

[edit]

You are not permitted to modify (or remove) declined unblock requests for your currently active block, such as you did here. If you do so again, you will once again have your talk page access revoked. --Yamla (talk) 11:25, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm sorry for modifying my declined unblock request. I will not do that again. Greenock125 (talk) 11:31, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Michel van der Horst requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michel van der Horst. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Unban Appeal

[edit]

I think my ban from Wikipedia should be overturned as I feel I have learned my lessons since my ban was imposed. If I am allowed to resume editing in the future I would avoid breaking copyright violations by not copying text directly from websites and avoid using long quotations especially when creating music articles for singles and albums. If someone leaves a message on my talk page I would stop editing and I would respond to the message or acknowledge that I have read the message. I would like to fully apologize for my actions and promise to conduct myself differently in the future if I am allowed to resume editing. I promise I will not edit any article on Wikipedia until my ban is lifted. Would it be possible for this to be reposted to an appropriate discussion board, Thank You. Greenock125 (talk) 16:26, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm being really patient here, but it feels like I'm being ignored, and everyone is waiting for me to give up and retire from Wikipedia. All I'm asking for is a response to say what's wrong with my appeal and what's missing from it, and that does not mean giving me the answers. I'm not going anywhere, and I'm not going to be bullied into retirement. I'm sorry, but I feel like it has to be said, Thank you. Greenock125 (talk) 10:01, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

UTRS abuse

[edit]

UTRS appeal #91020 is declined. This is the sixteenth UTRS request to be declined and clearly indicates Greenock125 is abusing the process. Greenock125, do not make another UTRS request. Yamla (talk) 10:45, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please note that I've muted you from my notifications. --Yamla (talk) 10:45, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You say I'm not interested in being unbanned, that is not true. The truth is, no one is interested in helping me with my unban request or telling me what's wrong with it or if there is anything missing from it. Also, it seems that no one on Wikipedia wants to unban me because of my past, no one wants to give me one last chance to contribute to Wikipedia, so that's why I have given up on getting unbanned. A tag has been placed on Jeffrey Sparidaans requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
