- Welcoming New Volunteers (25/06/2021)
- We hereby want to officially welcome new volunteers who have recently joined the collaborative project and have volunteered to work in WP:NIGERIA. The arrival of new volunteers is often associated with the confusion of “what to do” on their part, it is then behoove of us to treat them with care, guide them, and protect them from the general pitfalls a new editor would most usually fall into. We are also admonished to clean up after them if they err and encourage them, most especially when they are genuine editors with potential to do good work not just for us, but for the community as a whole. Once more, we hereby thank all new editors who have volunteered to work here and hope they enjoy their stay here.
- Requests for uncreated articles 24/01/2020

Speedy deletion nomination of Naijatraffic
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Naijatraffic, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. The article ETF Community Education Resource Centre Gombe has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non notable local learning resource centre.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mccapra (talk) 15:06, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:John Markus Ayuba, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia.
- It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://guraraaccord.com/trails-of-dr-john-ayuba-tip-top-performance-as-rt-hon-isa-ashiru-running-mate/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Your submission at Articles for creation: Snazzy the Optimist (December 12)
[edit]December 2022
[edit]Hello Gwanki. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Gwanki. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Gwanki|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 04:39, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Tamzin I have no financial undisclosed stake. I’m not in anyway compensated or expecting any compensation for my edits. Thanks Gwanki (talk) 20:57, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your prompt response, Gwanki. Could you please explain how you came to create Draft:Snazzy the Optimist. Did anybody ask you to create this draft? -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 20:59, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- Absolutely nobody Tamzin, I’m from Nigeria and I can assure that this guy’s song is everywhere. Just whoever started creating that subject violated a lot of Wikipedia policies, a sock. And wining a rap battle 12 years ago, that’s way back since 2010 which caught former S.A President, former anti-apartheid activist and former president of the African National Congress (ANC), Jacob Zuma’s notice is something, having a song that charted, performing with Grammy winners and was mentioned on International African Television MTVBase by Asa Asika according to sources I found is something. No one told me to create it Tamzin, I started the article as Draft and submitted it, if anyone did ask me I would have created it straight to Main Space. But I have been here for long and I can assure you that I have no appetite to break or violate Wikipedia’s policy, Thanks Tamzin Gwanki (talk) 05:08, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
- Okay. Please give Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Reliable sources a read, if you haven't before. Regardless of how the draft came to be, it's important to understand that passing mentions do not confer notability, nor do apparently paid-for or highly promotional pieces like [1] [2]. Musical artists often get a lot of coverage that is "a mile wide and an inch deep". For an article to stick on Wikipedia, we need in-depth coverage that is independent of the subject, and most coverage of musicians is neither of those. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 23:03, 17 December 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Your bold move of Turai has been reverted because an editor has found it to be controversial. Per Wikipedia:Requested moves, a move request must be placed on the article's talk page, and the request be open for discussion for seven days, "if there is any reason to believe a move would be contested". If you believe that this move is appropriate, please initiate such a discussion to form the appropriate consensus. Again, please note that moving a page with a longstanding title and/or a large number of incoming links is more likely to be considered controversial, and may be contested. Note that such consensus is particularly required before moving a title with incoming links in order to create a disambiguation page at that title. jlwoodwa (talk) 00:20, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
