A tag has been placed on File:Jaylen Bledsoe (Junior Achievement Hall of Fame).jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hey there Jaylenbledsoe,
You declined my article for submission a few days ago about Wade Briggs, an Australian actor, citing "insufficient context given". I was just looking for clarification on what exactly this means. Briggs is an actor who has recently gained some recognition for a role in the ABC television series Please Like Me, which was written by well-known comedian Josh Thomas and has enjoyed reasonable popularity. There is already an article on wikipedia about the show, but I couldn't figure out how to link the two articles. I can find more sources if you need me to as well? Any feedback would be appreciated!
Thanks, Whethertheweather Whethertheweather (talk) 05:08, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- Speaking as an administrator, I have to agree with Whethertheweather. There are other flaws in that article, but lack of context is not one of the problems it suffers from. Looking at your other AfC declines, you've made that same judgment in a number of articles where there is context.
- Please review the AfC guidelines again. If you continue to decline articles inappropriately, it calls into question whether your edits are good faith reviews or whether they are done to disrupt the project. —C.Fred (talk) 12:55, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

[edit]It is equally important not to accept articles inappropriately. Please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Summer School AACIMP. DGG ( talk ) 04:01, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
