This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Caught by a web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 209.127.64.132. Place any further information here. I am using a homeowner fiber optic ISP connection via Emery Telecom from my home... I don't know anything more about itMikeMcCue (talk) 18:16, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline. First, your IP is correctly blocked,at least mathematically; you're pointing to a WHOIS showing it as within a /21 CIDR but the block applies to /17, a wider range of addresses (in fact very wide as the software doesn't allow us to use a CIDR lower than /16 for rangeblocks. You should be able to edit from another IP, and your account isn't directly blocked, so there's nothing for me to lift. It's probably better that, instead of trying to get the proxy block lifted, you go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow the instructions there to get IP block exemption by email. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:13, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I removed your duplicate request placed in a section header; edits only need to be placed in the larger edit window. You can avoid creating section headers by clicking "edit" and not "add topic". 331dot (talk) 08:53, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That IP comes up as a webhost. I'm not an expert on IP addresses so I will leave your request open; if you know nothing about it you may need to ask your ISP for more information. 331dot (talk) 08:55, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I just did a "Who Is" search of the IP address 209.127.64.132, and it correctly reported
209.127.64.132
Moab, Utah, United States
Search an IP or AS number
ASN AS36728 - Emery Telcom
Hostname No Hostname
Range 209.127.64.0/21
Company Emery Telcom
Hosted domains 0
Privacy False
Anycast False
ASN type ISP
But Wikipedia says "The IP address or range 209.127.0.0/17 has been blocked (disabled) by ‪ST47‬"
From what I can deduce, it is indiscriminately blocking my IP because it incorrectly thinks my IP is in that range.
BTW, I used to live in Florida, but now I live in Utah. MikeMcCue (talk) 14:18, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
