Liverpool trophy count
Hello my friend,
I am the guy that keeps changing the Liverpool trophy count from 64 to 65. The reason is why we won it back in 1906 and it was the precessor of the community shield so that's the reason why I keep changing it. I agree that's not a major trophy but neither the "new" community shield is. If you want we can make a call and sort it out anytime.

Regarding your edit on the 1986 European Cup Final page
I agree with the way you edited the page. However, there is a legal dispute in my country about the identity of that club. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that the other user that was editing the article (besides me) will not agree with your edit. This is why I was going for the neutral approach :) So there will be no edit wars. Dante4786 (talk) 14:58, 18 January 2021 (UTC)

thanks / advice
Hi, just wanted to say thanks for not treating me as abruptly and rudely as I did to you the other day re the Champions League box links, I took the huff when I saw they were removed and went into defensive mode but I really don't want to edit war on here, it's too stressful and not why any of us are here (well actually a few do seem to thrive on conflict, but in general...!) so apologies for my reaction and thanks for not escalating it from your 'side'; I had a good period AFK instead to respond more maturely when I came back. I fully accept that an adaptation of an infobox purely as a navigation tool maybe isn't the best way to go for these - but I do maintain that some kind of link between these stages for each season is very worthwhile for readers, particularly when I see these pages get over 1k visits per month, which is why I went to the trouble to add them at the end of last year, and why it got my back up when they were being taken off - but of course no-one asked me to do it in the first place. As I said in the edit summary, the category you created does help, but I think that would be more often used by editors rather than casual readers, many of whom are on mobile devices. I know you are good with formatting tools etc, is there anything else you would suggest as an alternative to an infobox? Or could it maybe be kept but remove the title so it is less conspicuous (but still where you'd expect those links to be if you were familiar with the proper boxes for the seasons and finals)? Should I consult FOOTY for input in the hope of finding a preferable format? I realise this might mean they all got removed (I've added these for all the UCL group stages and the UEL groups and knockouts, btw) and I will still argue for their inclusion in some way, but I won't be disruptive about it if the decision is against it altogether. FA Cup
In regards to your reverting of my previous edit; I saw you'd named the EFL Cup as part of the domestic treble. I interpreted this as your way of signifying that Man City are the first club to win a treble of male only competitions without actually specifying men or women's teams to avoid that debate. I used this principle in naming the Premier League specifically - there is a women's top flight (obviously), but not a women's Premier League, just as there is a women's league cup (i.e. a secondary cup competition) but not a women's equivalent to the actual EFL Cup. I wasn't trying to conveniently ignore any football that ever existed before 1992, I simply included the Premier League by name for the sake of naming three male-only competitions in the domestic treble. Perhaps we can think of a way to include both - "Premier League or the First Division", something like that? Afreoleidddra (talk) 16:32, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Category:US Créteil-Lusitanos seasons
A tag has been placed on Category:US Créteil-Lusitanos seasons requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. PELE STATISTICS
I uddid once more your edit because simply you don't know me. I'never introduce my self to nobody, I prefer the others to know me only though my actions. I was clear about Pele stats : See el. wikipedia with updated official information from IFFHS. IFFHS published two versions of Pelé's goals: one in January (767 goals) and and one on 1st of March with 765 official goals. As I wrote the Spanish Mr Chic (official name: Alexis Martín Tamay), is paid from BBC to "sell" to "us" that the official goals of Pelé is 757. NOBODY IN FOOTBALL COMMUNTITY RECOGNISED THAT NUMBER! (OF THE COURSE WIKIPEDIA IS NOT IN FOOTBALL COMMUNTITY) So he found the change... PELE STATS: RSSSF : 775 OFFICIAL GOALS IFFHS : 765 OFFICIAL GOALS The highest authority of football is FIFA. Never recognised Pelé's official goals' tally, only 1,281 in total games. Have in mind that this is the least I can write. CHECK: el. wikipedia Πελέ. And the things/stats you will find there are those which can be written in a encyclopaedia... Because an encyclopaedia is not what someone found... "
- DON' T SEND ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU REALISE WHAT I' M WRITING.
- DON'T ASK ME ANYTHING BEFORE YOU CHECK THE CORRECTIONS I DID.
If you REALISE the mistakes, we can see all the "others". And unfortunately, after three decades in football statistics, they are not a few.... Just like for Red Star Belgrade removed flag of Serbia and put flag of Yugoslavia for time 1945-1992 now Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split do the same.
UEFA Cup Winners' Cup records and statistics and UEFA Cup and Europa League records and statistics someone all the time put flag of Croatia for time 1984 for Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split. The same for u to tell me for flag of Serbia. When i put flag of Yugoslavia for Dinamo Zagreb or Hajduk Split, Woodlandscaley delete an put flag of Croatia for time 1984 or 1964 etc. Can you be consistent and correct that in the Cup Winners' Cup and Uefa Cup statistic and tell Woodlandscaley not to write incorrect things. Alignment
About this edit: If you had taken a look at the changes made, you would have realised what I meant with "alignment" on the edit summary. Because of that was a visual change only (for a better displaying of the lineups, a simple but not disruptive edit), I didn't want to enter into an edit war with you, but you should be aware of your serial reversions–habit. This is really annoying and, in cases like this, completely out of order. – Fma12 (talk) 01:48, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- I won't stop doing something that is not wrong. I just used other paramethers that show a better view, which are also used in other football articles. Your policy is "first revert, then ask". Please, stop proceeding like that. It's disruptive. Second point: Last night I was in a good mood so I did not undo your reversion. But don't test my patience. Fma12 (talk) 11:14, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

April 2021
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of FA Cup Finals. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Greenman (talk) 10:01, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

Premier League records and statistics
This is regarding this edit, which you reverted. As far as I can see, the user did add citations for each scoreline individually, but crucially, neither source supports this as an aggregate record, as far as I can see. That would be a good reason for reverting. "So What" is a bad reason for reverting. The merits of including this as a record are debatable but there's no reason why it can't be discussed, assuming it can be properly sourced. --Jameboy (talk) 16:27, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

- Yes, when I first reverted I actually missed the fix you made. I'm sorry about that. I tried to include the fix later but I missed that you also corrected the nt-caps. You didn't make it easy for other editors: the diff was massive because you changed the formatting of the source text.

I did not want an edit war but I did not like that you wrote "utter shit", hope we do not have another disagreement again. Aprilman21 (talk) 16:53, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
If you wish to change an existing concensus, you know the proper procedure. You can present your case with valid arguments on the talk page. Your WP:EW is effectively vandalism. If you continue, I'll request you to be blocked on the page. --Sb008 (talk) 23:22, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hereby your second warning. The table is like this for the last 4 seasons, so clearly we talking about am existing consensus. If you think you have valid arguments to change things, you can present you case on the Talk Page.
- Hatrick: According to Merriam Webster, "the scoring of three goals in one game (as of hockey or soccer) by a single player". According to Hat-trick#Association football Wiki, "A hat-trick occurs in association football when a player scores three goals (not necessarily consecutive) in a single game". So a hat-trick is precisely three goals, not four, not five or anything else. The table doesn't list only hat-tricks but also more than 3 goals scored by a single player in a single game. You yourself use "4+" to indicate 4 or more, so hat-trick+ is a valid way to indicate more than 3 goals.
- Flags: If according to your own statement "it doesn't matter what country code we use", there's no need for you to change them. WP:AINT Furthermore, {{GRE}} redirects to {{GRC}}, {{NED}} redirects to {{NLD}}. Why you want to change country codes to redirects?
- And stop making false accusations that I want flags in the Monthly award table. If it was up to me, the whole table would be removed. I never put any flag in that table. --Sb008 (talk) 02:07, 27 May 2021 (UTC)

Hey, regarding page I've edited (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2020_squads#By_club): I understand it can be too much, but I am following example from Euro 2012 and Euro 2016. How do I respond to a response? It's really confusing here :D OK, if you feel like keeping it this way I won't argue, for me commenting it out doesn't change a thing, because users still won't be able to see it, but ok! Cheers! :) Red Devil (talk) 14:16, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
True, I agree that clubs with 2, 3 or 4 players are not interesting, by actually clubs with only one player - that's interesting, at least from statistics point of view :) The rest of the table, for me, it works the other way around: I look for a club and see how many players they've send to the Euros, for example Real Madrid looks really poor ;) Anyway, that's just different points of view. But you're more advanced in wikis - maybe there's a way for collapsed table? I mean short version, like you (and maybe majority of users) want, but then expandable to full view? :) Cheers! 2021 Minnesota Vikings season
You say it’s not about trying to improve but it literally says “They will attempt to improve on their 7–9 record from 2020...” which says otherwise. Your reasoning makes sense to say it after the season then before it because like I said, literally every team in the NFL is trying to improve from the previous season. If the reasoning you provided is why that’s in there, I recommend a reword, which should specifically exclude the usage of the word “improve”.--Rockchalk717 23:52, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- I’m not sure about how to reword it, but like I said with your reasoning “improve” needs to be removed, or even just waiting to say something until after the season. Maybe give the previous seasons record and how they finished in the playoffs, if they even qualified. Again, my major issue is the usage of the word “improve” because even the top teams in the league are trying to improve.--Rockchalk717 16:30, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- Actually it does. We wouldn’t specifically state anything else obvious with a team, like for example, we wouldn’t say the Rams play in Los Angeles, California in season articles after they moved. We wouldn’t say the Chiefs are returning Patrick Mahomes as quarterback. But we’ve already established our reasonings for our sides, and you seemed ok with a reword. What about if we do with like the Vikings for example, “The Vikings finished the 2020 season 7–9 and will look return to the playoffs after a one-year absence.” Then after the season, it can changed to something like this, if they hypothetically improve and make the playoffs “The Vikings improved on their 7-9 record from the previous season and finished the season (record). They qualified for the playoffs after missing the previous season.” Then finish it with how they finished in the playoffs.--Rockchalk717 16:59, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Pointless hypothetical ?
Hi. You just unded my edition as "pointless hypothetical". Let me formularize the question simply : How the third-placed table would look like, if more than 4 teams finished with 4 point and 4:4 GD ? Ore it is also "pointless hypothetical"? It is quite possibly ! Sory… Tormon245t (talk) 13:28, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

Euros Semi-Finals
Hi, why have you unilaterally removed the semi-finals data from the Euros table?
It’s been there for years and is really useful.
At the very least this should be included in a separate tab, or even another page. It’s really informative, not to mention interesting… Ross-shire (talk) 14:34, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
i agree with GolazoGolazo. it looks better to align them to the current one.

Please be careful about what you say to people. Some remarks, such as your addition to User talk:HarryKane9 can easily be misinterpreted, or viewed as harassment. Wikipedia is a supportive environment, where contributors should feel comfortable and safe while editing. Special:Permalink/1035585593 is exceedingly WP:BITEy. Template: Match Report
Hi PeeJay, thanks for tidying up some things on Match Report, happy with the updates you made to position names. However, your removal of any and all icons with the justification "avoid icons" has no reason for this. I see that you've had disagreements with users in the past (i.e. your deletion recommendation for {{try}} which was largely opposed. If you have found some consensus since that discussion, feel free to point that out and I'll gladly have the icons removed, beyond that, I think they serve a purpose of easily identifying events. El Dubs (talk) 21:56, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
Hi again @PeeJay:, I appreciate that you have firm opinions on the use of images and icons in articles. I see on {{Match report}} that you've reverted a revert on this without discussion. To avoid a revert war I'm happy to discuss but I am inclined to return the flag to the top of the team list because I think it provides a clearer identifier of the teams without adding too much decoration or unnecessarily increasing the size of the article. I am inclined to return the flag there and intend to do so unless there's a particularly good reason, or consensus that it shouldn't be there. El Dubs (talk) 22:25, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Thanks
Thank you for speaking up on the Duncan article last month. I haven't had time to really process and respond to everyone but I appreciate you saying something. Btw, that IP is James. I wanted to talk to him because I genuinely wanted to get a feel for where he was coming from. He kept contradicting himself every time he wrote a response to me and that led me to further investigate the situation. I really wouldn't have spent as much time on it had they not kept changing their story up. Then to reappear as an IP and try to deceive everyone into thinking they were a different person just further proved my growing suspicion. Anyway, thank you again. --ARoseWolf 13:51, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

Injury icons on final lineups
I created that template in order to provide a distinction between tactical and forced changes in a match. Just a small addition which I thought would be helpful in providing extra info for such pages. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 11:19, 17 September 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Arsenal Women F.C. templates
A tag has been placed on Category:Arsenal Women F.C. templates indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Non-free rationale for File:Manchester United Badge 1960s-1973.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Manchester United Badge 1960s-1973.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

Cristiano Ronaldo
Hi PeeJay - I won't argue that 2007-2008 and 2020-2021 are more than just one season but they're formatted quite weird. For instance, the 2007-2008 section begins with April 2007 and ends with the ending of the 2007-08 season. To me, it makes no sense to structure it the way it currently is. I think we can improve this. Rupert1904 (talk) 15:41, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hi PeeJay - can you please explain your edits rather than ignore me? The 2007-08 and 2017-18 sections of Ronaldo's article are specifically about seasons NOT about years. We abbreviate season and competition years as 2007–08, we do not format them as 2007-2008. I am trying to assume good faith but you're being quite rude and obtuse. Rupert1904 (talk) 23:17, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

Your reversion of my edits on British and Irish Lions article are clearly disruptive. Do you have any reason for that reversions? I didn't go against any MOS with my edit, which was made just to improve the article. My main question is, why match details can't be show in a collapsible format? Is there any rule I'm breaking with that? Fma12 (talk) 19:28, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Sad
It feels like shit when every single addition made to an article is wholly removed with only a partial explanation. [2] It becomes downright insulting that by your own admission [3], you reverted everything, twice [4], when you couldn't even properly see what was changed. What is the need for the instant reverts? How many people read that article in less than 24 hours? Less than 500. You state that "a lot of this is unnecessary commentary", yet thrice you restored that opposing striker Joshua King scored on the stroke of half-time
. Your final explanation: "I object to all of it". That's all. In my ten years editing here, there have been few times that I feel that my contributions have been less valued and less respected. I know you contribute a lot to Manchester United articles. Perhaps reflect on whether your reverts on them reflect WP:OWNERSHIP behavior. The rest of us are trying to improve articles, just like you are. starship.paint (exalt) 09:08, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
