The result of the debate was Delete. Redwolf24 (talk) 02:59, 28 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Non-notable Wikicities site. Zoe 05:51, August 21, 2005 (UTC)
- Sticking with delete. I thought it might have been a borderline speedy and so I asked Zoe to take a peek and undelete it if necessary. - Lucky 6.9 05:55, 21 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Furry Delete, sorry. feydey 13:03, 21 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Fastest-growing wikicity at the moment, part of Wikimedia, recent target of en masse Something Awful/Encyclopedia Dramatica vandalism. Almafeta 06:44, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Also, page was put up for VfD less than an hour after the initial stub's creation. Isn't that bad form? Almafeta 06:50, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Non-notability is non-notability. Doesn't matter how fast it's created. And how do you quantify the growth of Wikicity projects? Zoe 06:51, August 23, 2005 (UTC)
- Timeliness is timeliness. And you can quantify it by noting that it's in the upper 25% of all wikicities organized by database size, despite it having existed for about two weeks. (Also note that the statistics used there was from the 15th, before Wikifur hit its current 100-article-a-day trend.) Besides, when aren't Wikimedia/Wikicity projects notable? Almafeta 07:00, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- So you want an article on every Wikicity project? Anybody can create a Wikicity project, there are no limits. Zoe 07:08, August 23, 2005 (UTC)
- Even if there were no limits (2) (3}, not everyone has created a Wikicity. It's a limited category, with a limited rate of growth. Almafeta 07:17, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete. Does not appear to meet the proposed standards for website inclusion. Possibly merge into Wikicities. -- Visviva 02:05, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge - I'm a contributor on WikiFur and even I say this for now. I vote for merge on to the list of popular Wikicities once the statistics for the second half of August come in shortly to confirm current prediction over its popularity. And only if we at least meet the proposed guidelines do we try for another true WP article. -Nidonocu 02:56, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Even if this manages to reach the WP standards, I see no evidence the article will become a useful work of reference rather than a description of the contents or structure of the site per WP:WEB. Noteability isn't the only criterion laid out there. — Lomn | Talk / RfC 03:17:02, 2005-08-24 (UTC)
- Merge - Certainly growing fast enough to be at least notable. Possibly more useful merged into either Wikicities or as a link on one of the Furry articles, at least until it's more prominent. Also may be useful for directing articles that are too specialised or unsuited to be included on the Wikipedia. --Composingliger 10:45, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge - Merge into the Wikicities page, especially if the statistics confirm the current trend. Poofyspikes 15:20, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and don't merge. Our stats are down at the moment, so we don't know that this is the "fastest-growing Wikicity". The site is not part of Wikimedia (see What Wikicities is not), and the "en masse vandalism" lasted all of 2 days and wasn't that severe (just a few extra admins were needed). There are over 500 Wikicities and I don't think any with the exception of the largest (Star Wars) is notable enough for an article (yet). Not everyone can have a Wikicity, but we are adding a few new ones every day now, so having articles on all of them would obviously be inappropriate. This wiki is far too new to judge its notability and other than a one-off mention in Something Awful, it's not really known externally. It would not be useful to merge this into Wikicities, else users of every other Wikicity are going to want to start writing about themselves on that page, despite not being notable. We have a List of Wikicities on the Wikicities site and keeping a less up-to-date version at Wikipedia isn't useful, especially not as part of the Wikicities article. - Strong don't keep - I actually help out on wikifur, and I do not feel it is notable. This article is also way too short, even for a stub, and it reads like an advertisement. At this length, it could be shortened and merged as an external link into a furry article. I don't see a problem with just redirecting it to furry, and adding the external link. Why do we even need VFD for this? This vote was intentionally ambiguous, and I trust it will not be considered a straight delete vote. I just don't feel it should be kept. --Phroziac (talk) 01:58, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Find some list of furry websites or some topical article to note it on and delete. -Fennec (はさばくのきつね) 02:03, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and do not merge (for now) I am the founder of WikiFur, having created it because I believed that Wikipedia was not the right place for many furry topics. I believe WikiFur will eventually be significant enough for inclusion on Wikicities due to popularity/size, and possibly for an entry on Wikipedia in its own right. I agree with Angela that this is not and cannot be proven at this time. 10000 edits in one month is promising, but not convincing. At the point where it meets generally accepted criteria for inclusion I will be happy to support the creation of a good non-stub article about WikiFur, and possibly contribute to it myself (yes, I'll be careful with that :-), but not at this time. I thank those that have spoken in support of it, despite not agreeing with you! *grin* GreenReaper 03:23, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
