Instructions and resources
In order to participate in the Wiki Loves Monuments competition, you must upload images during the month of September 2012 (photographs may have been taken during this month or any time prior). You'll need to create an account on Wikimedia Commons if you do not have one already. From the NRHP lists on Wikipedia (see below for examples), click on the "upload" buttons to submit images of specific sites. Report
- User:Another Believer arranged a private, "behind-the-scenes" tour of the Central Library, partly to photograph the building's interior and exterior and partly to begin a collaboration with the Multnomah County Library system as part of Wikipedia Loves Libraries. More than 170 photographs were uploaded to Commons as part of Wikipedia Takes Portland 2012 and Wiki Loves Monuments 2012!
- UseTheCommandLine (talk): Although we were sort of crowded out by the bon appetit magazine event, it was great to come meet other active wikipedians and see what's going on here. Looking forward to other events like this, and the more people who come out the better!
- User:Visitor7 uploaded 13 photographs (12 of which were listed on the National Register of Historic Places); none of the 13 subjects were illustrated on Wikipedia prior to his contributions... well done!
