Glen Helen Nature Preserve is privately owned nature preserve which is administrated by Antioch University. It is open to the public for hiking.

Interesting sights in the glen include the Yellow Spring, Pompeii's Pillar, Orator's Mound, waterfalls, a covered bridge, and a ruined dam. The preserve is designated a National Natural Landmark.

Parking (for a small fee) is available in the lot off of Corry Street.

  • Since the big windstorm last September, there are lots of trees down in the glen. The ones that fell onto major trails have been cleaned up, but there's still a big tree on top of the grotto, and several that lie precariously overhead along the trails.
