There are routine childhood immunizations for 13 infectious diseases in Canada.
This scheduler will show you the recommended vaccines, when they'll likely be offered, what they're for and how they're administered. These are the immunizations your child will be offered between birth and their sixth birthday. Find out more about the common childhood diseases they protect against. 2 months old

DTaP-Hib, DPT-polio, or Hib vaccine
One injection to protect against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b)

Pneumococcal vaccine
One injection to protect against pneumococcal infection

Rotavirus vaccine
One oral dose to protect against the rotavirus

 

 

4 months old

Meningococcal vaccine
One injection to protect against meningitis

DTaP-Hib, DPT-polio, or Hib vaccine
One injection to protect against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b)

Pneumococcal vaccine
One injection to protect against pneumococcal infection

Rotavirus vaccine
One oral dose to protect against the rotavirus

6 months old

Influenza (flu) vaccination
One injection offered at six months or older to protect against the flu )
