International Women’s Day 8th March

First celebrated by socialist movements and communist countries in the early 20th century, International Women’s Day became a global celebration when the UN adapted it in 1977. This year’s campaign #AccelerateAction focuses on the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality.
